I haven't seen this posted yet, so I thought I would get the discussion going. I'm not a scientist, but this looks amazing if it works! What's everyone take oN this? Giving out Nuclear Fusion information to the world for free, to free the world?

Radiation is a nasty thing. Ever heard of David Hahn?

To anyone who seriously consider making a nuclear reactor at home, I say this: it's a bad idea.

There are way less dangerous alternatives.

Discussed here: www.abovetopsecret.com...

This broke about a year ago. Since then people have quite busy debunking his claims.

I will say this: If Lockheed Martin says they're 5 years from a commercial fusion reactor, the idea a gunsmith could make one in his basement seems pretty far fetched. I certainly wouldn't discount it outright, I keep an open mind. But not so open that my brains spill out.

I don't know if he will crack the nut of fusion (BTW neither does he admittedly), but I think he is a pretty interesting guy that would be fun to know and shoot the sh!t with on occasion.

The fact he is open sourcing everything is what gives him credibility in my book. Just a squirrel chasing a nut and if he gets it will share it with the world.

He gets a big thumbs
from me.

The vid posted really provides no info on his fusion project. You should dig around his website for some meat if you want to start a thread on it.

Agreed, major props to the guy for open-sourcing everything. Immediately gives him more credibility than the other snake-oil fusion talkers who insist on keeping their information secret and proprietary. (Most likely to keep their scams alive. Just a few hundred thousand more dollars of funding and I PROMISE I'll deliver a working prototype! Honest!)

He seems genuine and open to help, and most importantly, doesn't claim to have locked down the "secret" to LENR.

He gets major points for that alone.

I don't trust any of the types asking for money on an unproven idea with big promises. That said I knew a guy kind of like him that designed and built a kiln with unconventional materials for his stained glass work that absolutely broke conventional thinking. I worked with him a few years where we built quite a few and sold them when business was slow but when I approached some manufacturers with selling the design they scoffed and told me I was full of it even when I told them I could demonstrate on anything they desired to prove it.

Someone from China tried to buy one from us but I am pretty sure it was to steal the design.

I just saw the Skullet in the youtube pic for the vid and didnt notice the beard until your quite observant post. Touche, padawan...

On topic, I hope he springs for the double-wide reactor.

Hmm. If the round in that .50 went off in the chamber, you would not be dead, it would exit the barrel and hit whatever was "up", and he said he could take out a stop light with it at 10 miles, umm no you cannot. Not to say he didn't invent a fusion reactor but, he may be exaggerating a bit..

Historically, innovation and a culture of self-reliance have been the dominant part of America's DNA.

Sadly though, as a pathetic class of self-serving power elite attempt to perpetuate the status quo of mundane socialism in our country, independent thinkers like this individual will only become a dying breed.

Quite true radiation can do damage, even it will go unnoticed, till you start getting anemic or start losing bone mass which unfortunately will show up only if you test blood or take a chest x ray.
Any project where you are messing with a nuclear rearrangement can cause radiation.
