Well seeing as this is ATS.....

The conspiracies have started.

This video is really quite sick in my view someone is already trying to claim that Nimoy was some kind of sacrifice for the Freedom Tower at ground zero....

I know we have our share of tin foil hats on ATS but this guy is taking it to another level with this rubbish.

Yeah.

This kind of stuff annoys me though, its just so disrespectful i think, I found a few more videos that have been uploaded in the last hour that i watch that were just awful.

I was actually looking to see if there was a fan man memorial video of him up yet.

Truly saddening. While I never considered myself a trekkie, I did enjoy the tv series (yes, the first one), all the movies and reboots since. I can't think of any other show on television that has had more of an influence in the development of some of the technology we have today.

Each of the characters are iconic in their own way, but Spock always seemed to resonate with the masses. Nimoy did an incredible job portraying this character and I'm glad to have seen it in my lifetime.

You will be missed Mr. Nimoy.

Live long and prosper.......for all eternity!

Noooo.....

He was one of my all time favorites!
When Star Trek first started,
I even named my new cat 'Telshia'!
(If you don't know what that is...
you're not a real Trekker!!!)

I still have his records, a book of his poetry & photography,
8x10 autographed glossies of the original cast,
my Star Trek membership card, a Tribble,
& all the crewmember insignia patches!

We even shared a birthday!
All the girls in my class had crushes on Kirk.
I wanted to marry Spock & bring out his human side!

Oh, man, this is sooo sad!
LLAP Leonard!
You had an amazing, lasting influence on a whole generation!!!

I remember those decades. Star Trek was "the TV series" to watch above all others, and an inspiration to all engineers, even making it to the front cover of BYTE magazine

archive.org.../n0/mode/2up

When everyone was digging int 8-bit assembly language code, engineers were dreaming of the days computers could do speech recognition, high-resolution imaging, tricorders, phasers and teleportation.

Just look at everything he achieved; starred in movies, starred in an iconic TV series, made music videos, directed movies, narrated science documentaries, made internet memes.

This was a great life, Leonard.
Perhaps one that puts you up a notch in spirit.
The world will certainly miss Spock and you will never be forgotten.

Galvatrons dead? R.I.P

At least cybertrons save for now, don't about the Enterprise though, he was well needed, unlike Galvatron.

What sad news! Spock was my favorite, so much I bought 'Spock ears' from the back of a comic book! We used to run around trying to give the Vulcan squeeze until our moms got mad and sent us to our rooms, LOL!

I also loved him in the show Fringe.

Rest In Peace
