What Colour Is This Dress, ATS??? Genuine Social Experiment... Or Ultimate Troll Experiment???

This is a pretty good average of the values I was getting with a color-picker on the 'is it gold or black' sections of the dress.

Can everyone agree as to the color of the jacket on the dress? This is important is the jacket white? Or does it not contrast at all? I am male n not color blind on iPhone and see the dress in the op as white n goldish. The jacket linked is def blue n black

Just want to add that I have only ever seen 'grayish-blue and bronze'. At no point has the appearance in color changed for me. *shrug*

I thought it was all a practical joke that half the world was in on, but since this thread picked up, I'm more confused to be honest.

I see the dress as white with gold trim, however, I did a little experiment, I tilted my laptop monitor screen backwards towards my desk, slowly and continuously until the dress looked black and blue. I would say, it took tilting it to about a 45 degree angle, roughly, to get the dress to have a blue with black trim look to it. (And yes the Amazon link has a blue dress with black trim, but some of the comments are better. ("I ordered a white dress with gold trim and got a blue dress with black trim! False advertising!!" LOL)

Got a link for that? I'm not color blind. I've been tested more than once because of the field I work in. I see colors and hues correctly.
