This is a pretty freaky concept, I do not think I could cope with this, It makes me shudder just thinking about it.

It also asks some moral questions regarding extending human life beyond normal peramaters.

(Shudders)

I had not thought of that, theoretically they could actually swap heads and bodies.

Surely that would not work though with different hormones and suchlike.

Bizzare concept indeed.

If money cant buy you happiness you just dont know where to shop..

I expect a lot of despots, the filthy rich and kidnappers/body snatchers are looking on this with eager anticipation.

If it works (Which I doubt ) maybe people/animals too . Wasnt there a scene in O lucky man where a human head was grafted to a sow– ? Did Lindsey Anderson know something ?

I can see Gerry Springer situations arise with bickering couples having swapped heads now fuming that the other is having more fun.

Wow, entire head transplant... Freaky.

Is this what happened to these guys?

I am still trying to make a call upon the morality of such procedure.

Cons: the concept is freaky. Imagine using someone else's body.

Pros: it can save lives. Someone dying from cancer could be cured and go back to his loved ones.

I guess it would be up to the patient to give his (or her) opinion....

We could not disagree more I was just thinking about having "DO NOT REMOVE" tattoo'd on my head.

Imagine waking up attatched to some dead guys body, You would have someone elses penis!

Nope, not for me.

The Soviets were doing this to dogs back in the 50's/60's.
They claimed it work, although I am not sure.
There is a video on youtube showing the experiments, but I won't post a link as its quite disturbing-not to mention bloody cruel IMO.

Right, that's why I would only do that to my clone...not someone else. I wouldn't even wear someone elses bathing suit for gawds sake! lol

Edit: you could take Walternate's body!

Umm...where are they going to get the bodies?

I'm almost sure I'm missing something....

Donor bodies. Healthy donor bodies. So they're relying on what...decapitation and/or brain death?

The video with the dogs? Yah, some people claim that it was just a fake. I can't decide for myself whether it was real or not...the shots are not clear enough.

A clone I could go with yes.

Maybe just a few litlle alterations here and there.

What if you had a head transplant and the donor had really crappy tatoo's or one of a rival sports team?

EDIT: A clone would be prone to the same ilness that killed you in the first place so would not be too bright an idea.

I always wanted to be a bird, can't they transplant a head on a body from a bird as well?

Would it be great?
Compare it with a car maybe, the engine remains while the bodywork gets a "face lift"
