at first it does have the shape reminiscent of a UFO, but then it kind of reminded me of a seat-belt metal being reflected in the glass. I think that is the more likely explanation

Don't know about the metal part being so high but the shadow cast in that spot along with the other shadow to the left does seem to look like the straps from a three point (front seat) seat belt.

That's a good point. The width and shadows do seem to point to seat belt.

Can we confirm whether or not this was actually taken inside a car through a window?

Otherwise I'm going with tractor beam
