The whole of Facebook and social media is full of posters that somehow proclaim "capitalism" or "America" as the bad guys.

I think that's just plain ridiculous.
Most of the world is running to traditionally white, Christian, capitalist countries.

If you want to see where people are starving look at socialism and Islamism.

Am I the only one who thinks these posters and statements should be a source of retaliation (with facts)?

But the Left has ruined it for everybody.
Soon, the monster they created will have their heads rolling down the Jihadist streets.
Then they will still find a way to blame it on the USA and the Jews.

The Left has lured the Western world down a garden path.
Will we ever recover from it?

Extremist from all sides suck. They represent a minority. Thus should not rule the majority. The right has ruined their share too. Since they both work for special interest and not for the citizen majority.

I agree with his sentiments that extremism from either side is the worst and that no matter who is the majority in DC, they aren't working for the interests of the citizens.

To answer my own question, no I don't think we'll recover easily or quickly from the harm leftism has caused.

The anti-America mumbo-jumbo of just one college professor can strike a nation in its heart, and strike a chord for malcontents.

Well in SA it's too late.
The libtards and leftists have put crazy people into power.

Good advice probably.

I mean a few years back the debates were mostly about religion.

But now it's all about Zeitgeist and veganism.

It's like a brainwashing tour-DE-force.

What irks me is that it's mostly middle class people who own property making all these North Korean-type statements about the evils of capitalism.

They are hypocrites!

If you insist on accepting the left right paradigm, then of course it will appear that way. If however, you have had your eyes open, you will see that both sides achieve the same goals, but take turns to arrive at them. The right set up deregulated scenarios in industries which require heavy regulation in order to function correctly, like banking and finance for example, or the oil industry, and the left come along just in time for those carefully constructed bubbles to collapse, making it easier for the left to install all manner of regulations, many of which will be enough of a bugbear with most people, to get the irresponsible morons of the right back into power.

Increasingly over the last thirty to forty years in the west, the left have been so out of touch with the real needs of the people, that all the apparently wonderful changes they want to make to the life of citizens, are in fact watered down and do not go nearly far enough to render the citizen utterly bullet proof, in terms of their exposure to risk from purely abstract commercial concerns, like the collapse of one or another hedge fund (something which, I think you will agree, ought to have absolutely nothing to do with whether someone looses their job or not at street level).

The right, at party level at least, are clueless morons who OWN to earn, and have to a large degree, never worked a single day in their lives, produced an ACTUAL product, never broken a nail... Jeb Bush, for example, would not know how to do a real mans work if he was forced to do it at gunpoint. Mitt Romney never held a real job his whole life! He was a Mormon missionary , and then worked in some firm doing "management consultancy". That is only work, in the same way as a tomato is a fruit. Yes, you can earn money doing it, and yes, you can be taxed on the rewards from it, but no, no matter how much that is the case, you still cannot put a damned tomato in a fruit salad.

He does not represent the citizens of a country, because he is not one of them. He is one of a tiny, ridiculously small minority of well off, talentless morons within that citizenry, who want POWER. That said, the same is true of his, and indeed the current front running Republicans opposite number in the Democratic Party. The same things are also true of David Cameron and Ed Milliband here in the UK.

If a person has never been at risk from the worst excesses of both corporate, and government stupidity, has never been on the verge of bankruptcy owing to situations beyond their control, has never known what it is like to have their fate rest on matters entirely outside their sphere of influence, then that person has NO DAMNED RIGHT to govern a nation of people who ARE reliant on the smooth running of a government, and ARE reliant on companies to serve their needs adequately and at fair prices. Only people who are OF the people have a right to consider themselves worthy to govern. Those who earn by owning the homes that good people live in, while doing nothing to ensure that their ownership is beneficial to those renting from them, those who own companies and have never put in a single hour at the bottom end of that industry, MAKING things with their hands, stacking shelves, fork lifting things into trucks, or even making the workforce a measly cup of damned coffee, are NOT the sorts of people you want running a country, no matter what politics they claim to adhere to internally.

Now, as for socialism sir, if you live in the United States of America, then you have no idea, none what so ever, what socialism really looks like, or feels like, because you have never had such a thing in your country, and you never will. Socialism is really bad for big business, and since your nation hosts the headquarters of the largest businesses one could hope to name, scattered all throughout its landmass, you will never see a socialist government installed in Washington.

Until those businesses set up shop elsewhere, and I mean nearly ALL of them, you have nothing to worry about, because as long as they can purchase the favour of one or another political candidate, the entire finance driven, capitalist cluster bang will continue unabated. Your nation will still have entire tent cities full of formerly hardworking homeowners, who no longer have homes due to a banking collapse and subsequent bailout, over which they had no control, and there will still be smart people who simply got born into the wrong family, with the wrong credit rating to get any sort of assistance with getting an ideal education, and your fellow countrymen will still, DESPITE the allegedly socialist health policies of the current government, have to pay something for immediate care at a hospital, and bankrupt themselves in so doing, not to mention paying over the odds for all the care they receive in their lifetimes.

Screw Communism!
Here is the Vietnamese artist Nah taking on the Communist Party.
Sorry about the expletives.

Nothing came from anti-capitalist rhetoric ever, except consistent lower age expectancy.

Socialism has consistently led to man-made famine and massive repression and suffering.

Take that crap off New Age posters, or you won't make it with me.

I suppose it must be easier to maintain that your position holds water, if you refuse to engage with people who join the conversation you began, in a manner which demonstrates that you have read and understood their position, as well as they have read and understood yours.

We have no idea what socialism looks like in South Africa?
Really?
We've had a Marxist party called the ANC in power since 1994, many of who's leaders were trained in Soviet Russia.

With all due respect sir, don't try and lecture me about communism.

Yes Google is your friend , and Nordic socialism or communism is partly capitalist.
Go read it.

And those poor indigenous Europeans will suffer because of what has been imported and allowed by Leftists, especially Islamism.

What a pity for Europe.

Typical communist/Marxist scene.

The ANC leader enters Pango Camp.
Here Oliver Tambo delivers a speech while ignoring the people who were tied to trees.
There were so many that the the scene resembled the cruxifiction scenes from the movie "Spartacus".
When he left they remained for three months in that position, and were then given three months hard labor.
That's the true face of communism.
Let's see a US movie on it!!!

The prisoners were returned to their trees.. where the president [Oliver Tambo] passed the unfortunate men without a glance on his way out, and they hung there for another three months -- followed by three months hard labour.

I don't care if I'm liked, popular or whatnot.

All those lefties raging against "capitalism" are using the same discourse as North Korea.

You're aligning yourselves with some of the most blatant torturers and human rights abusers on the planet.

There's no other way to say it, but have fun.

I know that stupidity is popular right now.

I've seen the former GDR, Zimbabwe and Vietnam.

I know what communism does.

All those young radicals are screaming for the most brutal form of dictatorship known to modern humans.

Have fun.
