American tv would drive me insane with the amount of adverts.

That's the reason I refuse to watch it. I refuse to sit down to watch commercials every 10 minutes for crap I don't want or need.

that's why dvr is the best 10 buks a month ever

When a program comes on I like, I pause the TV for the first 15 minutes and go do something else for a bit. That way, when I'm watching, I can fast forward through the commercials. Every time I have to get up, I pause it again and build up more. I call it Commercial Time and my family knows exactly what I mean.

I cannot remember the last time I saw an advert, I only ever watch a few shows on Iplayer.

Everything else I watch on netflix with unlocator so it thinks I am in the states and get about ten times more content.

I like watching British TV. Especially the channels like Tru TV. They show American programs but with less commercials.

I don't mind commercials. I just hate 20 minutes of commercials during a one hour show.
