and in their blowing up of the Murray building, the handed Reno all the ammo she needed to go after anyone even remote associated with them.

Before the Murrah OKC event, every talk radio personality was discussing the Constitution and the Federal Budget. After the OKC event, the Republicans threw away the best chance at a rollback of governmental power.

When the Constitution and Federal Reserve came around talk show topics again, because of the dot-com bubble, 911 happens.

The centralized collectivist government sure is lucky that way.

Ahhhhh, you appear to get it. Few do. In the end, there really is no fundamental difference between the left and the right. The only way they differ is in their methods and targets of hatred, favorite scapegoats, and which areas of your life and finances they should be able to intrude into. Tides and threats shift depending on what ideology is currently the dominant one.

During the Bush years, you had a few Democrats and far left-wingers in powerful places who said and endorsed things and acts that could be reasonably considered treason against Dubya and Associates. Now during the Obama years, I see Republican and Right wingers in high places pretty much doing the same. Same chess board, same players, just the color sides switched. And during the Bush years, you had quite a number of far-left raving moonbats making ridiculous, face-palm worthy rants and serious threats against Bush. Back then, you had people on here hysterically ranting about Bush being the anti-Christ, the most evil, responsible for every horrible fail in American society. Now the ridiculous, hysterical rants and threats come from the right.

When one actually looks at objective reality, one can see that many of the current threats and pressing issues were problems that developed well the general public even ever heard of Barrack Obama, and several still have their roots before Bush Jr. even announced his plans to run for president. The most festering predate even Clinton.

Obama has been a lame duck, ineffective, unfocused, and inconsistent as a president, that's for sure. His administration so far, for the most part, has been lackluster. But lackluster is a far cry from the rabid, laughable claims of him being a mad dictator, an evil closet Muslim-socialist-Satanist hellbent on destroying America that I hear spouted from every far right wingnut I encounter. It gets so annoying, because any attempt to correct their oft repeated factual inadequacies and untruths is bound to get you labeled pinko liberal or whatever.

My own personal observations and experiences were that things actually began to start getting worse around '99, when Clinton was in office, but the overall state of the country really started taking a full turn south under Bush, especially post 9/11. And I mean, a total turn south. The Patriot Act. The creation of the DHS and blossoming expansion of the surveillance state in the name of the new "War on Terror". The half-baked, cooked-up and poorly thought out "liberation" of Iraq. The decline of the economy, the rise of unemployment and underemployment. More and more doors for government intrusion into our lives. And then the great crash (which to be fair, had its roots well before Bush, and both parties were complicit). So, Obama takes over. And...well......it doesn't look or feel any different than it did under Bush. Obama has not revoked, or even revised, much of the Patriot act. The surveillance state continues to grow unopposed, our lives get invaded uncontrollably. Criminal bankers get bailed out while people get evicted. The administration displays incompetence consistently. And when the nation is amidst crisis, the president is on vacation and no where to be found, and when the situation is finally handled, it is usually done with mind blowing levels of incompetence.

I mean, the Obama Admin is almost indistinguishable from the Bush Admin, all things considered.

In my book DHS about peaked out last week when the Indiana DHS told people to stay off the roads and thousand's missed work. Is that really their job or were they just testing to see if anybody paid any attention???

Maybe they ought to tell the people of Boston to shovel their cars out

Almost all of the recent mass shootings and pointless violence were shown to be committed by progressive liberals, or Islamic recruits. Reality has nothing to do ẃith this, it's all a pre planned series of events to take down the people likely to oppose thîs presîdeñts agenda. It's odd to see how we're being told that Muslims do'ñt commit terrorism but right wing constitutionalists do, when everything we see on a daily basis säys just the opposite.

It's a ploy to identify "terrorists" ahead of big government's plans to instill a police state. Psychology 101. They know that the first people to stand up and fight a police state are the Militias so if they start instilling in the populace now that Militias are "evil", "bad" or a "threat" then (in their minds) they'll have the support of the people when they begin attacking Militias so there will be no resistance.

They're not wrong to call it a threat. What is ISIS going to do to us, seriously? Even if they can commit a few atrocities in our borders they are zero threat to the continuance of government because they don't have that type of power projection. On the other hand there are home grown groups that can mobilize and overthrow the government. Remember a few months back, the reports of all the 10,000 truckers that were going to march on DC throw out our elected representatives and install the people they wanted?

From a continuance of government standpoint those groups are a far greater threat than ISIS.

Maybe like the Ferguson riots where the "authorities" allowed those buildings to burn unchecked.

And the 10,000 trucker MSM psy-ops that never was even organized to begin with and automatically "failed" by design.

It amazes me how D.H.S. has progressed from (a well-intended?):

1. The Department of Homeland Security

2. The Department of How Stupid

and possibly to

3. The Defunded Homeland Security.

If the department loses funding at the end of the month because Congress fails to pass a budget bill, most DHS employees actually would continue to report to work, because they are considered “essential” employees.

That means Border Patrol agents stay one the job, airport security workers will still be at their posts, the Coast Guard stays on patrol -- and those East Coast ports remain open.

Still, 30,000 DHS employees are expected to be furloughed if funding lapses, and most who aren’t would not get paid until the budget stalemate ends.
DHS Shutdown Doomsday

-
OPINIONs:

1. The risk of "loses funding" is the reason for this Scare-Tactic: "threat posed by right-wing domestic terrorists as “equal to” or “in some cases greater than” foreign-born Islamic terrorists, such as ISIS".

2. DHS has reached Beyond-the-Outer-Limits of what is/was expected for a 'department of homeland security'.

Left-leaning media falsely claimed the Sovereign Citizens were behind the Bundy Ranch episode. It turned out to be completely untrue though there were no apologies to the Bundys.

If you go to the Sovereign Citizens website, you might be surprised to see that their values lean pretty far left.

Like the Occupiers, they want sustainability and no wars.

Isn't one of the widely accepted definitions of terrorism using violence & intimidation to voice dissent or for desired social or political changes? How would threats or acts from stateside extremists be any different now?

Arguing over the likelihood of Americans being domestic terrorists is about as stupid as arguing over whether or not to call Ted Kaczynski a terrorist. If you're up for using violence to voice dissent/persuade people to change what you dislike socially/politically, guess what that makes you?

a little research proves there is domestic right-wing terrorists
blog.adl.org...
www.cnn.com...
www.greenisthenewred.com...

these don't seem to be "stupid", especially for the people that suffered at the hands of these groups.

To assume I and millions of others can unravel thousands of years of social conditioning and manipulation in mere months or even years if only we were to do ‘something’ is the very definition of self delusion, serving only to set myself and others up for eventual failure.

There is something to Lamarckian evolution when applied to humans. Lamarck said that changes in an organism during its life can be passed on to its descendants. From a purely biological standpoint this type of evolution is considered false, but humans live in society and much social ability is gained during a life time and could be passed on to offspring. The Lamarckian meme, is in some sense is true, if society is considered to be a human's environment.

Human evolution away from a dependence on the average deserved life and towards a responsibly conducted exploration of everything could happen as fast as the MSM can portray it as exciting and within reach.

We need more individualistic fiction and individualistic organization of knowledge.

Right now in the MSM, the most capable individualists are lucky fools or criminals, and most knowledge is portrayed as far removed and ineffectual for a normal person's thinking.

That could change as fast as one popular genre of books and movies.

Most people don't want freedom, especially after a decade of education that tells them that everything comes from the system-- not from their own efforts.

So what exactly do you call it when the government calls it's citizens the enemy? I haven't heard an administration so insane. Hey...Obama! Why don't you say what you really mean..."if you didn't vote for me, or don't agree with me...you are the enemy and I will use the full force of the IRS, etc. to destroy you". NOW is it time to impeach this dork?

Wingers are all the same, in that they use the government to coerce everyone into the behavior the wingers think is best. Wingers don't disagree that the governmental control is the source of good society.

The right wingers in mainstream politics are a left wing faction. Left wingers are OK with any form of top down government as long as they control it, and that includes feudal oligarchy.

The closest thing to a real opposition party were the 19th Century Jeffersonian Democrats, who were against any centralized government above the state governments, and against governmental power in principle.

There has been only one party (The U.S. Government Party with two or more factions) since the Progressive Populist movement and the solidification of power made by the Federal Reserve, the Income Tax, the popular election of U.S. centralized government Senators, and the nationalization of the economy during WW1.

Terrorists use ideology as an excuse to commit terrorist acts. You can be an eco-terrorist and spike trees. You can be a sovereign citizen and blow up a federal building. You can be a Christian and firebomb an abortion clinic. You can even be a Muslim and decapitate other Muslims. No matter which way you paint it, you're still a terrorist.

If you want to live under a government you have every right to.

However, most, if not all, of your opinions about the government come from the government.

Government is rule by force. No person or group of people is justified or knowledgeable enough to do that.

All of the beneficial outcomes currently monopolized by government are people doing a job for money, or social standing, or some other motivator, just like they would do without a government.

The nature of society determines what people do.

When the Johnstown flood occurred, social power was immediately mobilized and applied with intelligence and vigor. Its abundance, measured by money alone, was so great that when everything was finally put in order, something like a million dollars remained.
