No, I haven't read the books or seen the movie that grossed $300 million dollars opening weekend.

I was, however, excited for the movies release. Why? I felt it would be the best indicator of how the moral fabric is decaying at an incredible increasing rate in society.

It was absolutely shocking to see how women are responding to this filth. Why are so many women becoming "men 2.0" perverts?

Let's take the incidents that happened in theaters across the world:

mashable.com...

Three women arrested after stabbing or cutting man with a wine bottle during showing.

moviepilot.com...

Of course at least one woman had to be arrested for maturation during the movie.

www.express.co.uk...

Employees find used condoms, handcuffs, and sex toys found in theaters after showings. Women blindfolding themselves and masturbating during the movie.
AND worst of all WOMEN BRINGING THEIR CHILDREN TO THE f*@/#% MOVIE!

Daring mothers even tried to buy tickets for their four year olds – but were denied at the box office as children under six are banned.

One employee revealed that a traumatised child had approached him during the movie and said: "that movie is so bad, there's so much kissing and stuff and yelling".

A group of women were caught in the dark after other audience members made complaints during the movie, which is filled with explicit sex scenes.

A worker revealed: "They had taken off their shoes and socks and tied the latter around their eyes during the blindfolding scene, and people were complaining about both the smell and the fact that they were moaning in unison."

So aside from the theater events what has this disgusting movie accomplished?

IF the movie and books weren't enough for a woman, she can live the fantasy in real life! Yep, 13k and it's all hers:

www.ryot.org...

Are you looking for a good ball-gagging? For a mere $12,397 you too can live like Anastasia Steele and be dominated by your very own Christian Grey.

Here’s how the new Fifty Shades Experience describes itself:

“Live the absolute Fifty Shades Experience. Two days like no other. The helicopter will fly you over the city. Christian will be waiting for you at his apartment building, Escala. He wants to live with you the absolute BDSM experience. But before he touches you, you must sign the contract.”

Or how about the "real life" Christian Grey character that has women flying to Seattle to meet him?

www.businessinsider.com...

Leading up to the movie, he said, about 1,000 fans of the book reached out over e-mail and through Facebook messages and friend requests.

"I knew the movie would bring more attention, but I continue to be really surprised by the whole matter," he said.

He said some women have even flown out to Seattle to meet him. He acknowledged he had gone on dates with some of them, too.

Women are driving up BDSM porn searches:

timesofindia.indiatimes.com... s

They broke down the BDSM search by gender, and found marked disparities between searches by women vs. those by men. While there was a surprising 219 percent increase in searches for the word 'submission' among women, it was a mere 46 percent increase among men. The word 'dominate' was up by 196 percent among women, and only a 32 percent in men. 'Spanking' too received a 158 percent increase among women, as opposed to a meager 5 percent increase among men.

And of course, sex toy injuries have dramatically increased:

www.washingtonpost.com...

The number of Americans requiring emergency room care for injuries involving sex toys has approximately doubled since 2007, according to data from the Consumer Product Safety Commission. Much of that increase happened in 2012 and 2013, following the release of the wildly popular erotic novels in the Fifty Shades of Grey series. And the overwhelming majority of these injuries -- 83 percent -- require "foreign body removals."

And the best part, their still planning two more movies! But the books author is insisting on writing the screen play since the movie lacked the intensity that she wanted. WTF.

So you did not either read the book or see the film but someone determined, in your righteous and puritanical indignation, that it is 'filth'?

Who cares what adults do in their bedroom?

Why are you the arbiter of appropriateness of other's behavior that has no affect on you at all?

The following is my opinion as a member participating in this discussion.

Arrested? How old could she have gotten?

As an ATS Staff Member, I will not moderate in threads such as this where I have participated as a member.

The antics in the theaters are pretty disgusting. Especially taking one's children into it because you can't be bothered to get a sitter.

That being said...its a book. The "romance" genre has been around for freaking forever. If people want to read it, what's the impact on you? If people want to get freaky in their bedroom, what's the impact on you? If a woman wants to go meet a guy in the hopes he'll do "something" with her...what's the impact on you?

I'll stay out of your bedroom. Kindly stay out of mine.

I have a good friend that works at a well known movie theatre. He hasn't mentioned any of this, just that the theatre was overrun by women last weekend.

Personally, I find the movie pathetic but who am I to pass judgement on others?

I agree.

If I was in my office talking about how I can't wait to get home to my sex master who will do rampant sex to me - well I'd be sacked.

Yet for the fairer sex it's ok.

Although I say fairer - have you seen the state of most of the women who go mad over it?

Most of them have never read a book before in their life.

Fifty Shades is amateur hour. In fact, in France it got a PG rating.

Gotta love the moral outrage and hilarious dot connecting though

And x 100 what AM said. Let adults be adults. Why's it matter to you if I want to tie a guy up?

As a Millenial, this is why I have lost faith with the current generation. It sounds like our society was eroding bit by bit. With people acting like this on public well it sounds like there is something wrong going on.

My local theatre has the distinction of removing the head of the local 'Anti-Adult Store' group....for inappropriate behavior.

I do find it interesting that 'porn' is okay for one group, but not for another.

And, yes, 50 Shades of Grey is pornography.

Pornography:
Pornography (often abbreviated as "porn" or "porno" in informal usage) is the portrayal of sexual subject matter for the purpose of sexual arousal.

I could care less what people do in their bedrooms. But when it overflows into public it becomes a major problem.

I consider it filth and a major stepping stone In the further deterioration of the moral fabric that holds society together. Hell, and I'm not even christian.

Chris Hedges has a fantastic article about this phenomenon.

“Fifty Shades of Grey,” the book and the movie, is a celebration of the sadism that dominates nearly every aspect of American culture and lies at the core of pornography and global capitalism. It glorifies our dehumanization of women. It champions a world devoid of compassion, empathy and love.

“When you fight porn you fight global capitalism,” she said. “The venture capitalists, the banks, the credit card companies are all in this feeding chain. This is why you never see anti-porn stories. The media is implicated. It is financially in bed with these companies. Porn is part of this. Porn tells us we have nothing left as human beings—boundaries, integrity, desire, creativity and authenticity.

I totally agree.

I heard that the woman who wrote the book was a virgin herself, can anyone confirm? Also...didn't this book begin its life as really poorly written Twilight fan-fiction?

Inappropriate acts in movie theaters, while I do not condone them, is nothing new.

Really? Sex between adults is deteriorating society?

There has been fetishistic behavior throughout recorded history and yet, here we are.

Fifty Shades is kids corner compared to some "Romance" novels. Women have been reading word porn since fiction novels were a thing. I don't really see the appeal myself, I watch actual porn when I feel like some "me time". But, I'm a gal with simple tastes I suppose.

This is as damaging to women as watching "Skinemax" is damaging to teenage boys at 3 AM.

Grow up.

IThe only thing 'm really upset about is those damn cops arresting people for maturating. I don't lnow what it is, but if the cops came it had to be bad.

I stopped reading book one when I hit the word virgin. No lie.

I don't know one way or another if she was or wasn't, but I'd guess that she definitely was.

The cops coming sounds like a plotline to one of those 'filth' movies.

Yes. Any excuse. I wonder if they have extra patrols on the theaters showing this filth to contain these overstimulated women?

An Atlanta radio station sent a busload of "grayhead's" to see it. Gray for Grays I think they called it. They had a marvelous time.

I say we go into Sham's bedroom and steal his cuffs. Rope just isn't enough.
