As I was one of the participants in those threads, I should reply.

First Creationist is not an insult it is a label, and it will include intelligent designers, they swap deity for super advanced alien cultures. Same difference.

As has been pointed out evolutionist is a fake term. Evolution is a scientific theory. Will you call me a gravitationionalist because I follow the theorem gravity? Perhaps not?

I'm (as I repeatedly point out) a spiritual person (just not Abrahamic) as well as a educated and employed scientist. The two are not mutually exclusive.

If you read those threads closely the insults were mostly flowing from the hard core creationists. Thus its no wonder that things got snarky.

By all means question a scientific theory, but for the love of the Gods (Hail Caffeina) do it from a placce of education, not ignorance, and don't use the Loch Ness Monster as proof evolution is wrong
