what if everything we are living is similar to a dream,
but everyone has a different experience? everything
just sorta made up as we go.. for example.. ive never
been to jail etc. what if there wasnt really a jail? it
was just something i put in my own mind to prevent
me from doing things that are wrong, and everyone i
know thats been in jail, even for the small things.
Were just things, even the people, that i made up
along the way (in life) to keep me in line, and to learn
from them as well.

What if the whole simulation theory was real and
this is what it all was? one of us just sitting in our
room, in what we would really call "the real world"
where we were just sitting there living a
simulated life, maybe something as simple as a
virtual reality game. what one of us live in this life,
whether its 60 years of life or 100 years of life,
was only an hour or so in, what we would call
"real life"?

This isnt what i actually believe lol i know it
sounds funny seeing how i just wrote all this
stuff about it, but.. what if? just an idea i had
running through my head the other day, thought
id express it/share it with you guys.
any, and all views of topic are welcome.
Please dont get on here and try to explain to
me how its not dead on with the whole
simulation theory btw lol as im well aware,
just a little something i was thinking about,
and wouldnt mind sharing other views about.

another thing, please dont bring religion into
this lol its just a debate that will never be won,
and just starts unnecessary arguments.

not sure i placed this in the right topic, hopefully
it is, i wasnt really sure. i apologize in advance if
it wasnt.

I believe that there was a channeled entity that attempted to explain the truth of the "law of attraction"/"we create our reality" paradigm, that teacher was Seth.

Seth taught the concept of "probable realities" which means that we can and do choose one reality out of a multitude of probable realities. The PROBABLE part is what most woo woos today seem to miss.

Seth didn't teach that we could create an entire reality based on our beliefs (creating a spectrum of possible choices and then choosing from the spectrum).

He taught that what we're doing is similar to this:

We have a spectrum of choices that we can choose from (the probable realities) and we choose one of those. He didn't teach that we could determine what was in that spectrum. He taught that we could only choose one of the choices from that spectrum.

Most woo woos today seem to believe that they can create the spectrum and make a choice from the spectrum, that's not at all what Seth taught. I've come to the conclusion that people that have the this belief actually believe in some way that they are "God" creating everything (both the spectrum and then choosing from the spectrum). That's the only way their paradigm makes any sense to me.

Seth taught that the choices are limited in this world because it's like training for other levels of existence where we will (according to Seth) have increased control over creating our reality. We have to be taught control over reality creation here first.

I think at some point as we evolve we will reach a point like the following scene from "What Dreams May Come."

But, many woo woos seem to think they are already at this point when everything about their lives SHOULD reveal to them that they're not. Therefore, they're in denial.

Well, if that were the case then you didn't write your post because I imagined it, or maybe I'm not writing this one because the next poster imagined both of them.

Kind Regards

I really wish this was all a dream instead of being real. It would be nice to know there could be a reality out there that is a little better than this one. It could also be a worse reality I suppose, that would be my luck.

interesting point, i could be on ATS right now just picking and choosing threads that benefit my own reality lol so did you even post on my thread? lol or did i make this up deep within my imagination? lol

It's pretty simple.
Your life is what you make of it.
We are on a one way trip to dying.
Make the most of it.

I've wondered it, but because I can't really know, it's as likely as anything else. Jesus could be real and I might go to hell if I don't believe and so on. Maybe Santa Claus is real? Anything I can imagine or have heard might be real. YOu get what I"m saying? It's pointless to wonder.

I treat it as real anyway. No choice, since I don't know. But I'll add if this were all fake how come that knowledge has to be hidden?

I'll ask the OP: Without pain do you think anything would be real? I've often thought pain is what makes us care - selfishly and empathically. Pain isn't just felt via the self, it's shared by everybody via empathy.

It is "our" imagination, the collective mind that generates our world, however, there is "your" imagination, and when you actually do dream, you are in your "own world" and as you know the possibilities are endless.

posted on Feb, 19 2015 @ 12:52 AM

It could all be an elaborate imagination, you never know.

There may be a whole reality we are unaware of due to it being vieled from our perception, meaning we only see what we are programed to imagine.

Hypnosis goes into this a little bit.

If life is just imaginary then my imagination sucks. I just imagined I tore my Achilles tendon and have been sitting at home with an air cast on occupying myself here on ATS for the last month. Who dreams that kind of stuff. Apparently I do.

The human being is primarily made up of three components.
Simply, MBS.

The body is a foundation for supporting consciousness (awareness/self/the observer/experiencer). The mind is the bridge to the soul, a funnel if you will. This tunnel is also known as the ladder, or tree....

When one is only aware of the external reality (via 5 sensory system), they become detached from the internal, and such will not make sense.

The mind is consciousness's internal vehicle to navigate the internal and external (the body being the physical vehicle) Worlds. From the earth-world, to the internal-world.

It's still anchored into the bodily vehicle, but the 5 senses are tuned off, and the internal eye guides/navigates Consciousness as it travels the innerverse.

You, the awareness reading this, are the WHOLE of those things, simply MBS. You operate a body to navigate this earth plane. Your mind is an internal vehicle driven by thoughts of consciousness' (YOU/awareness).
Consciousness is anchored in the mind, as the mind is anchored in the body. Here is the spin... the spirit/soul (best words to describe in English. .) Is anchored/trapped inside the body.

The soul is LIGHT, trapped inside a vessel, which was designed specifically for this energy (soul). This is why your body has electricity coursing through it, that is the life force energy in which is in essence, YOU.

MBS, is the Grand triangle, the holy trinity. One cannot be without the other,as its totality was designed by what humans name god.

The soul is essence of "god". The soul is pure energy is nature, with internal/eternal life and consciousness (awareness of itself and that which it is a part of). This energy is the source of LIGHT, which is a product of the soul.

Fire and LIGHT and light bulbs should not be confused with one another. English was and is a horribly designed language.

Fire is EXTERNAL, it's nature is bright in a universe of dark matter. Fire is the source that reveals darkness, in this earth plane.

Light is INTERNAL, it's nature is raw energy within the innerverse, it is very bright in nature, which cannot be inside of the EXTERNAL universe. It can only be INside of a designed vessel. Hence, inside the human body, via nervous system, using the mind to navigate both worlds.

This is the knowledge behind the ancient "yin-yang" symbol. The body and soul are two worlds, experienced internally and externally, via the BRIDGE/mind.

What we call "god/gott", is the absolute wholeness of all soul-energy + consciousness/self. That is what designed the external universe that is what we are internally at the highest level of collective-wholeness. That, which always existed before the "big-bang" concept of birth (banging > screwing / big bang > birth)...

Now one should understand their true potential and power, especially as a collective, the human spirit is a force to be reckoned with.

Now one should see the transparency of churches and organized religions/hierarchies. One should see why governments exist. Why the Vatican is vacant of spiritual power and internal heart. Why there is a globalization happening in front of our eyes (externally) to keep us trapped here foreveR, never understanding and reaching the knowledge I bring forth to you now.

I'm passionate about the human collective coming together and triumphing over spiritual deceit, physical abuse and the evil that has consumed our souls incarnation over.

For nothing is more important then ascension of self back to the collective source from which it came. You are so much energy caged in a tiny atomic-structured body!

Don't let them steal your power, don't feed into the world domination game of chess that the left and right repetitivelly repeat century over century.

The middle path will always be the way, and to start that journey, you must turn on your inner light (enlightenment) and ascend the ladder to your highest potential (heaven for Christians).

Sorry for the overload, I wish to bring knowledge of internal truth, as I have taken upon myself, the path to self discovery and internal balance. Which, I have not perfected, nor am I close.

The internal journey is most humbling, most honest, true and passionate one. For whom turns inward and activates internal light, shall know thyself.

If you are in a simulation, then it is equally likely that the simulation is in a simulation, and so on to infinity. An infinite regress is inevitable.

Your post almost reads like a haiku lol, I'm always thinking about this topic and honestly I've come to the conclusion that if this was a dream or something like that, then realizing it should "wake me up" just WAKE UP!

Thats a really good point my friend lol just a thought though, not sure i buy the whole simulation theory. It does get me into some deep though

I know one garaunteed method of showing whether life is a dream or not...and it is sooooo easy...we can all try it...

then come back and tell me if you actually need something real to sustain you in this imaginary life.

How to perform a reality check:

In lucid dreaming, especially DILD (Dream Induced Lucid Dream), to know if one is really dreaming, one must perform what is called a reality check. The purpose of reality checks is to find out whether the world you are in is real (its existence is independent from your imagination) or invented (its existence depends on your imagination). Here are a few reality check you can perform:

-The Watch
An easy reality check is to glance at a clock, look away, and look at it once more. If the watch is not real, it will show random numbers, whereas a watch whose existence is independent from your imagination will provide constant numbers.

-The Book
Also briefly mentioned in the Doctor Who TV show. A book or a text which is not real will have its text blurred or changed with time, and other people might read different things than you did.

-The Mirror
In an imagined world, objects tend to be very chaotic, since they depend upon your imagination. Now consider the chaotic reflection of such unstable objects! A common method for reality check consists of looking into a mirror. In an imagined world, mirrors will show strange, distorted figures, shadows, and incorrect reflections of faces.

I suggest you watch a film entitled 'waking life'. I only just watched it for the first time 2 nights ago and you won't believe the similarities between your post and the film.
