We are all connected to God the Most High who created us to be be Righteous for a greater unknown reason we must accept but never stop trying to become more than just an image.

When we believe in doom and original sin and the stain of a permanent state of corruption called sinner then we have given up hope of achieving our spiritual evolution and awakening.

But the path exists to enlightenment and it does require faith but that is the beginning and it has been sold as the end of enlightenment.

The Kingdom of God is within, without, above and below.

And we are immortal only flesh can die. The soul will find a new home. The Universe is infinite.

Many Christian out there take the Bible literally. Let think about this...
From that literal perspective one might think that God is a transexual.
Think about it. He created man, then from man he created woman.
God must be both male and female, if we are formed in "His" image.

So much for being literal =)

Don't you mean asexual?

Transexual seems a little too new-age for god.

Pansexual, Androgynous, Hermaphroditic.

Rome was pretty familiar and wasnt the reason it fell... expansion in conquest however was... karma is not just individual all that conquest made enough enemies to lead to it without enough friends to save it. Diplomacy in friendship and not every one being subject under the thumb of control of others the same as they give their own is of course what saves preserves and protects the future... this is why the US only had home defense of land and purchased other land to expand instead of conquer with force. Of course that changed as we built a military others rent.

What does God created mankind in his own image mean

morally and spiritually speaking. Since God is a spirit. John 4:24 (NW):

God is a Spirit, and those worshipping him must worship with spirit and truth.”

Here's someone described who "is the image of the invisible God", perhaps it helps with understanding how someone with a physical body can be the image of someone who is a spirit (note that in John 4:24 two slightly different meanings or definitions for the word "spirit" count, are used or should be considered when trying to understand that verse, follow the link to figure out which is which):

My own thread is overlapping specifically this comment now:
