According to Christians, we have been living in the end times for millennia... so what exactly is different this year? That video is absolute rubbish... a bunch of cherry picked clips edited together to give a sense of fear and doom. Nothing different than media has been doing for decades, just no where near as professional.

If your mind is weak enough to swallow it (which religious people are prone to) then I truly feel sorry for you.

Religion is a really sad view of the world.

I feel sorry for those who are shackled by an outdated theology, doomed to be stuck in their little loop of suffering and sin.

Cheer up and don't live life for it to end in god's temper tantrum of Armageddon (I know you believe it will... but it won't and you'll die wondering where the apocalypse was).

Be good, live a good life, try to find the synthesis of ideas... and get over it!

Your god is a man-made concept used for control of the population.

To religious people everywhere; Grow up, and take responsibility for your own actions rather than shift your moral obligations to an imaginary being.

Yes, true. However they have never been at such a scale as now.

For those who say these events have been happening for centuries now, and for those who scoff at it, I only wish the best for all - that all turn to Jesus as their Savior. If the day comes that strange things are occurring or the world has turned completely upside down for everyone please remember these prophecies of the Bible and you will know that God is real and has a way out for you:

- Rapture - some believe in the Rapture and many don't. I for one do. So if a large percentage of the population of the world suddenly turns up missing, all children are gone and graves have burst open and the dead are gone... it's because we have gone to be with Jesus. There will be a huge "deception" meaning the powers that be will come up with some explanation that will be believable to those who don't understand what has happened.

- Destruction of Damascas - it will be levelled.

- The rise of a world leader that is incredibly charismatic, reasonably good looking, has the answer to everything and can handle all the world's issues

- There will be 3.5 years of peace in the world. Then 3.5 years of terror the likes that has never been seen on earth before.

- The mark of the beast. Whether it's a tattoo or chip or some physical mark - the fact that it is on the forehead or on the hand will be your warning. You will be unable to do anything without it.

- Two Witnesses - two men will appear and proclaim the word of God. People will try to kill them but instead they themselves will be killed in the manner they attempted. Eventually the two men will be killed and their bodies lay in the street for 3 days. On the third day both will be resurrected and go up to God.

- The Jews will flee Israel. Most likely to Petra.

- Persecution of all Christians. Beheadings.

- Angels of God will fly about the world telling people that this is the end, their final chance, to accept Jesus. Incredibly people will still reject Christ.

- Jesus returns to chain up Satan and demons and to save whatever human life is still on earth.

I don't have all those in the exact order. I hope all reading these words never have to endure any of what has been prophecized. But in the event that they do I hope those words come back to you and you realize without any doubts that it is finally happening.

The droughts, famines, wars, rumours of war, world nations struggling/morphing/emerging, visions of Jesus from non believers, children, the signs in the Heavens - these are all happening faster and faster. Sure the signs in the heavens have occurred in the past but they have not stopped. The first one promised was the star regarding Jesus' birth. They continue. We shouldn't be watching for signs and to keep our eye on world events as humans but from the viewpoint of God's word. From there it becomes pretty clear.

P.S. TechUnique - great video!!

Obama is clearly the anti-Christ and bares the mark of Cain. The mark of the beast is coming with Real ID compliance and RFID chips. I love me some good doom porn.

Fools have been proclaiming the end to be nigh ever since Jesus was supposedly around. Since you seem to be fond of quoting Bible verses, here's one that you apparently missed:

Mark 13:32
“But concerning that day or that hour, no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father."

With what we are seeing in the news from the middle east and the Ukraine I am not surprised that there is a feeling off doom and gloom for all mankind in some quarters. In my own opinion this is due to media's constant reinforcement of mankind's negativity and also the unbelievable atrocities carried out against the innocent by those who supposedly 'worship' the same God but act on different interpretations of a belief structure that has done nothing but negate tolerance and inspire hatred
.Why is nothing positive or demonstrative about humanity's capacity to aspire to do good in the world headlined in the world's media outlets ? It is my own belief that mankind one day will throw off the shackled constraint of religion that is holding us back as a species and we will unlock our potential through science and a better understanding of one another.
Prophesying the end of days seems to be integral in human nature and it's religious beliefs (remember the ancient 2012 dooms day calender or the any of the myriad of ' the end is nigh' prophets that can be easily found throughout the internet). Hopefully one day there will be a 'start of days' emergence and we can step away from the negativity of humanity's dark side and instead focus on the positive aspects of our species that has the potential to achieve great things.

I have one theory of input. If the end and all the signs were not happening ATS would be ONE boring place. I woke up in 2010 and have been following jason a for a year now the escalation towards the end has increased ten fold!!

What makes this warning different from the ones popping up every year since even before the birth of Christ?

Harbingers of the Eschaton gonna harbinger. Despite the Bible saying plainly it has been fulfilled already (first century)

Truly I tell you, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened.

Sing us a new song please, your record is broken.

"Jesus is coming and He is pissed"
We've been hearing about the 2nd coming for 2 thousand years and it hasn't happened yet. It's not going to. Modern religion is just a idea stolen from old religion, with the names changed and the story a little different.
Personally, I love to skip a house payment and use the money to go party, but I think I'll hold off.

Such 'prophetic warning signs' have a 100% failure rate, seems a lot of people eagerly await some kind of cosmic genocide.....a certain group of people......great folks!

When Isreal became a nation again in 1948, Jesus said that generation will see him returning in their lifetime. most people don't live more than 100 years. and he said no one knows the day...but will know the season. And most the technology you see around today...I remember when the internet wasn't even around 20 years ago..now its on my watch.

My dad's been waiting for the apocalypse for 40 years. Yet society creeps on.

"This is how the world will end, not with a bang, but a whimper." -TS Elliot

Unfortunately there will be no cataclysm. No zombies. No nuclear holocaust. No alien invasion. No super exciting massive event. We will dwindle on and slowly kill off the vegetation and the other animals, and finally, slowly ourselves. It will take centuries, but eventually cockroaches will inherit the earth.

Sad to say many sincere Christians in their eagerness have ignored this verse, if angels can't figure it out, what makes people think they can. That being said "that day or that hour" is still coming we just don't know when, whether it be 7 months, 7 years or 3 decades away.

That video was really fascinating... and that's coming from an agnostic! I think many people commented without watching it.

2 grand for an APC?! I would have given them 10!

The end of times will come for all of us.

The proof is in every graveyard, it's just a matter of time for everyone.

End times prophecy is just a hoot to read. Very entertaining but not to be taken seriously.

How many times through the centuries has the end been predicted by one faith or another only to fall flat on their collective faces?

Far to many times to garner my faith.

It's all about fear and control.

That is of man. Not of God.

I concur with most of the posts on this thread for the following two reasons;

1) Man has engineered most of these signs and nature has always showed signs in the heavens. IMHO I believe ISIS is such a group that wants to bring about the battle of "Armageddon" and this is a product of Man and not scripture.

2) Christians have believed they lived in the "End of Times" for 2000 years. It's not happened yet, does this mean that all those Christians from the last 2000 years were a tad gaga for believing such nonsense?

Why is it always about God killing us mere mortals.

Perhaps the Klingons had the right idea.

Heaven is a Dictatorship based on control of your thoughts.

Do you really want that?

P

While I agree with your premise, Phoenix, according to the bible, God has never killed anyone himself. He always has someone to do it for him, be it angels, demons, man or beast.

Damn, God is Charlie Manson!
