Just because ONE ET race isn't benevolent doesn't mean the other's are the same. There are multiple races talked about throughout history, all with different motives and most are benevolent. There are noted reasons for why many different races would visit Earth. You'll have to do research yourself as there're a lot of reasons. Think of races as countries. Use WW2 and Germany as the ETs you claim aren't benevolent. Just because Germany hate America and want to kill them doesn't mean other countries (races) want to do the same. The UK would fight with you to stop Germany as would others.

You see, we don't know how many races there are or what each of there motives are, but you can't go around thinking ALL want to do bad from the acts of one.
