Today, which seemed would have been ordinary like any other day was far from it.
The day started out ok just long what made my blood boil is as follows , I work for a pest control company and I have certain properties that we only spray outside. I started to spray this house and heard Screaming so naturally I looked up and saw my customer beating his wife!!!

At that point I proceeded to call 911 and waited for sheriffs to arrive when they questioned the man and woman she had severe dementia and couldn't respond to the question of abuse now at this point the sheriffs pretty much told me that because she couldn't respond to their questions that they could not go on my allegations , I am so pissed why did this bastard get away with this all that was done was they took a statement from me and my info and that was it.

One thing I cannot stand is a man putting his hands on a woman, I can't understand how this guy just got away with this, sorry I needed to vent I don't do good with violence....

You could also have a seperate rant asking why your witness testimony is not enough to defend a woman with one of the most severe mental disabilities on the Planet.

That's almost as disgusting as her being hit.

Almost.

Shameful all round!

It is easy op.

He obviously had enough money for a lawyer, since he owns a home and can afford pest control.

So the innocent until proven guilty rule applies to him.

If this was a poor guy in a run down trailer, not only would he have gone to jail, they would have beat his butt bloody and charged him with resisting arrest for trying to protect himself like all creatures on earth, and assaulting the police, because the poor must stand there and take it.

See how that works?

Don't act shocked, this is the reality of today.

Terrible experience. No justification. Sadly we have to move on right? Or we dwell. Society is fecked up in many ways. I suggest hitting a punch bag man. It works for me sometimes.

Domestic abuse stats aren't pretty, only a percentage have been reported and an even smaller percentage prosecuted.

In the olden days they used to get justice dealt to them by the townsfolk, perhaps that would deter them.

Good for you for doing the right thing! I will star and flag you just for that. If she has dementia then it needs to be turned over to whatever authorities takes care of the elder. I am not sure where you live. But surely they can see the bruises on the poor woman and then start proceedings on him.

I don't think that'll help not at this point I'm more disappointed the little faith in humanity I had floated away on a cloud today.

If I were you I would report the incident to your state government office that handles abuse of the elderly and/or disabled.

I'm sorry that they won't help, man. That really sucks. You'd think they would check for bruises or whatever. Well, I guess they really can't without probable cause and she can't talk. You did the right thing; though. I'm glad that you didn't ignore it. Just watch out for the husband or whatever he was. He might want revenge. It sounds like somebody should pound on him like a big brass drum so he knows how it feels.
I called the cops on my neighbor once. I'd hear him yelling at his girlfriend all the time but one time it was different. I heard loud thumps like he was flinging her around into the walls and her sobbing. I walked a few blocks to a payphone and called. The cops were there when I got back. I guess he broke her arm. I hate to think what would have happened if I'd ignored it. So, good job!

Since you mentioned the woman had dementia, I wonder if she was an elderly person? If so, perhaps you could make a call to social services (or whatever the equivalent is in your location) and report it as elder abuse. I don't know the rules, but maybe you can report it even if she wasn't elderly, since dementia is a disability. There must be services in place meant to protect people with disabilities I would think.

How infuriating. People who harm others, especially those who are particularly vulnerable, really make my blood too. I am glad that you at least called the police and tried to help.

You are a pest control specialist right?

Seems like you missed one, despite your best efforts. VX gas would take care of the bugger.

Nowadays you can find them pretty cheap as a second hand to use as a work phone.

By law that cop has to investigate it. That is BS! You can call the elder
abuse hotline. They have them in most counties these days. And be
sure and let them know the cop did nothing about it.

Honestly I felt like breaking the door down and stomp on his head but then what would that have changed or accomplish, what made it worse was that when she was screaming it wasn't the scream of an older woman it sounded like the scream of a young kid it made me want to go ape ****
