We need world peace not world war.

Then Russia needs to withdraw its military from Ukraine, which includes occupied Crimea.

Which part of the OP is false?

Do some research and you would find there are no Nazis / nationalist socialists in the Ukraine government. However if we look at the Russian Duma they have 55+ members who belong to Nazi / nationalist-socialists groups.

Ironic.

No, what's disingenuous is comparing people to Nazis when they have done none of the heinous things the Nazis did...

Nobody thinks about the things on that propaganda list when they hear "he's a Nazi"...

You know it, the blogger knows it, the West know it, we all know it...

People think about the Genocide & everything else heinous...

Don't play dumb by saying "but they did these things as well"...

You know as well as anyone that aside from Historians, Nazis and people looking for comparisons nobody will think about the things listed...

You know as well as anyone what the average person thinks about when they hear the comparison.

That's disingenuous... By definition!

Are you willing to travel to Ukraine to fight for your beloved brothers in arms, or do you just like to stir the pot?

And yes I think the US and NATO should roll in and force Russian forces back into their own country. Appeasement only gives putin more of an incentive to act like Hitler.

You clearly have no idea of the insanity it would be if US/NATO tried to force Russia With military Power.

I know that you find a lot of common groun With Your OP. The only reason that is, is because it is 100% in line With you ignorance. You dont have the ability to think neutral, you are just arguing and selling points for your side. THe only one who cant see this is YOU.

What if you replace Putins name with the US government? Would alot it apply ? It could be said that the US could be compared to the same thing in many ways. ..

Never heard of the Azov Battalion?

Didn't hear that Poroshenko put their Lieutenant Commander in charge of the Police Force?

You're a propagandist for the West parroting the narrative...

"There is no Neo Nazis in Ukraine"... Pathetic lies.

The Azov Battalion is openly White Supremacist with Nazi emblems in their flag!

They were the ones who were heavily involved in the Maidan Revolution!
They're the ones fighting the Seperatists!

Do some research yourself instead of Google searching keywords that demonise Putin.

Please name your source, he goes by infoagestrategy but remains nameless in the articles I have looked at.

For any credibility a source must have a name.
Do you know his name, why does he remain annonamous?

Going to the source site they have a page for every one of the 40 reasons. After reading the first reason with news articles attached it painted a pretty clear image. Especially the first one from the Moscow Times in 1999. Whoever put this list together did a hell of a job.

You must mean these dudes, they have a ton of Nazi Azov Battalion posts online, like they are really proud of being Nazis or some crazyness. I find it ironic thier supporters are calling the opposing side Nazis lol.

How anyone could get behind these guys who are clearly racist scum of the earth is beyond me.

Yep, and that looks like the dregs of the Battalion, as opposed to the ones who have military experience that train them.

But we shouldn't derail the thread.

Don't want to seem like I'm intending a drift...

& it'll be interesting to see how people feel about such a comparison, knowing the implications it has.

I have no refutations to the comparisons between Russian and nazi Germany. I do find it perturbing to single out one nation, when all modern nations meet the criteria listed.

Modern society would not exist without the technological advancements of nazi Germany. We would not have tires, jets, missiles, police states, advanced propaganda techniques, or military industrial complexes. Socialized healthcare, homeland security, and IBM could be added to the list of similarities.

The fact is, which neither side would be willing to admit, is that national socialism was the next evolutionary step for human civilization. The novel system failed, or defeated, depending on the perspective, but what came after has incorporated much of that system and slapped the label post-modern on it.

Xcathedra, the flaw in your argument is a very simple one. You are trying to convince people to fight against something, in this case Russia, rather than fighting for something. You will have more support listing the benefits of fighting Russia with conquest and glory.

Who are the worst group of people in History?

You might get a few who say;

"The Catholic Church"
"ISIS"
"The British Empire"
"The KKK"

What's the odds that The Nazis top the list?

Quite high I reckon...

So tell me what good it does to compare people to Nazis based on the meaningless similarities...

When the overall implication is to sow a seed in the mind of the people that the worst of the worst is on display...

The Nazis were good at propaganda...
So whoever came up with this nonsensical juxtaposition is indeed just as much of a Nazi as the intended target, surely...

No, because that's not a nice thing to say about anyone really.
& to sow that seed is indoctrination of the worst kind.

Unless they're proud to admit it openly, like the Ukrainian Azov Battalion...

Otherwise cease with the Nazi comparisons...

Or don't... But don't be upset or surprised when people do the same to you for taking the propaganda to that level.

I do not agree with calling Russia Nazi.

What about calling Russia a fascist state?

a. A system of government marked by centralization of authority under a dictator, a capitalist economy subject to stringent governmental controls, violent suppression of the opposition, and typically a policy of belligerent nationalism and racism.

I normally define fascism as the marriage of the economic sector and government and propaganda/news. By not keeping the three parts separated you create a pyramid of power where where the power flows upward and all below gets their rights taken away. Normally with a lot of nationalism.

With that definition Russia seem to be a fascist state.

But then so does the western world where the economic sector (controlled by the banking maffia FED/IMF) controls the propaganda/news and the government thru the corrupt politicians. Almost whatever you vote in the US it comes in the end to a vote for the same power pyramid. As George Carlin said fascism with a smiling shirt.

I find it interesting people use the NAZI term with Ukraine yet when a comparison is made to Putin the tune changes

The difference being that none of these comparisons were made until the NeoNazi element of Ukraine was exposed...

Then of course came the old tactic of reversal to deflect and say "no no no it's Putin who is the Nazi"...

Pathetic.

I agree I dont see Putin and Russia as Nazis or pushing a Nazi master race agenda, I think its crazy to even go there, the two are nothing alike. Russia isnt doing a genocide against Jewish people, in fact they fought against the Nazis. How this has happened that people get behind these agendas without real facts to back up what they are claiming is a mystery to me.

Racial supremacy - I keep hearing about how much tougher the slavs are compared to other countries. We hear putin making claims about the world never being able to conquer Russia etc... One could argue racial supremacy is present in Russia based on that view.

We hear Obama making claims about how exceptional Americans are. One could argue that the idea of American supremacy is present in America based on that statement.
