Ceasefire in Ukraine Begins...

This thread is intended to be an update thread on any new events coming out of Ukraine since the ceasefire began. (15 min ago)
So far, there seems to have been some shelling in a couple cities just before the ceasefire. I don't see this lasting long, but who knows.

Ukrainian president Poroshenko already made a speech just as the ceasefire started. I don't speak Ukrainian or Russian, so all I've got is hearsay from twitter feeds. If anyone knows the language and wants to post updates, please do..

Here is a live feed from Ukraine, yes it's Ukrainian T.V. so watch at your own discretion. I have no idea how much longer the feed will be up, it's the same channel that aired Porshenko's speech.



Please feel free to post updates by sources from both sides. I would hope updates would be posted, rather than bickering about Juntas and Nazi's etc. I'm know I'm dreaming here, but I have to try...

I've read similar things on twitter as well. I think if this one is broken, things will escalate beyond anything we've seen from the region so far.

So far though, things seem to be calm less than an hour into it..

We have to give it at least 10. Rumor has it that if there is no still peace after 10 hours, then Poroshenko will declare Martial Law. I can't confirm that yet however from an actual news source. Just twitter posts and blogs.

he will declare martial law in the whole ukraine, not just in those regions, if the ceasefire stops. at least that's what right sector's facebook profile claims, i didn't bother to check their source but i guess it's real.

what i've failed to find on their facebook profile though (hard to translate everything, many posts include text in images and i don't speak ukrainian), but what i've read somewhere recently, is the fact that right sector claims they're not bound by the ceasefire agreement and that they will continue fighting.

if that's the case, it's only a matter of time until things will go south.

It could be a card that Putin may decide to play if the fighting doesn't stop .I would expect that then Kiev will have the prof that Russia has finally invaded . I suspect that it will happen further to the west then the line that would have been agreed upon at Minst .

Right Sector has and is a huge pain in the behind for Ukraine. They act like they are helping Ukraine,but all they are helping is themselves. These are the worst thugs that Ukraine can come up with,and they think nothing of attacking people.They were the ones that set fire in Odessa to the trade building burning those people alive. Now they harass the families that are trying to get justice.

Just heard that there is still sounds of shelling going on .

I heard in a video Right Sector declaring somewhere in `14 that the plan was to first win the war against the Eastern Ukrainians, after that take control of the Ukraine and kick the US puppets out of the Ukraine.
