Here it is

A Symbiotic Bond

Many members have asked me about my books so I thought I would let them all know.

If you would like to get into my Series, this is the book to start with.

Now then.

It sitting at number 216,862 in the best seller lists. That is not good.

So ... if you like Science Fiction ... or ... you like Fantasy, this is for you.

It has Dragons and Riders. It has Fleets of Star Ships. It has good guys and very bad guys and even some in the middle.

If you want a sample of this universe, then look at my sig line or my Profile and read my short stories. They are there for you to enjoy.

I would not mind some help getting a bit above the position of 216,862.

Actually, it is not too bad, it was at 965,523 so it is improving.

Hey, do You like that reader better than kindle? I am totally new to the e-readers so am just curious as to it's quality.
Oh and something else. Is it hard to get a book published? By E-Book standards, and or paper printed books? I mean I know that only a select few even really make it big in writing and all, but just curious I guess.

Thank you. It takes a while to bring together a whole universe.

I don't really like saying everything that is in the series because it takes time and a great deal of care to bring different elements into a book. It has to be done in a realistic manner.

I have 4 books out now, but this is the one to start with.

It is much the same. I look for two things, the ability to control the font and the ability to have an alternative to a white background. Most readers do that. The only thing left is the trust that the reader is not buggy. Both the ones we are discussing have proven track records.

In the past, it was all about printed books and publishers.

If you could get the interest of a publisher, they would provide you with an editor who actually helped write the book by acting as a sounding board and generally helped since they had vast experience and were generally specialists in the Genre.

The publisher handled all of the error correcting, the covers, the advertising and getting it on shelves. They did a lot of work.

Now, not so much. They seem to trawl the forums and reading sites trying to get hold of finished works that require no effort on their part. With all this, they still pay peanuts.

On the other hand, anyone can publish via E-book. It is easy as long as you either learn the ropes or publish through a service that costs perhaps $300. They will handle it all for you and send it to all of the E-book stores.

This book is available in a great many stores and in many countries such as Germany and even Japan. It is in English though.

I write for the pure pleasure of it. I am retired and this is my chosen hobby. As far as hobbies go, it is not all that expensive.

Will I ever get my money back, well, who cares! I might, I may even make some pocket money some day.

Will I get rich, not likely. Even J K Rowling was quoted as saying, "The books did not make me rich, it was the movies that did that."

Only a miniscule number of Authors make any real income from books. Look within your own country and count the number of current famous Authors. You would be going to get one out of every million people.

If you write to make money, get a new career!

Hey thanx for the detailed answer to my Q's here! Much appreciated! I like that the backgrounds can be changed for the readers. White is too much for my older eyes anymore. I use the dark scheme here. Much easier to look at.

About the publishing, wow! I guess the old days of an editor actually doing their job properly are beyond gone eh? Looks like they are taking the easy street exit from the old days!
The thought of having something published is cool, but as You state, chances are slim for making a living on books. Not that I thought I could do that anyway, but it does look like a glamerous life for the ones who can actually turn a buck to live on that way. More power to them!
I will just continue writing of the sheer pleasure of it. It is therapeutic for me as well!
Once again, I appreciate the detailed response to My Q's. Thank You!

Nice one P

I've been waiting for this, I'll admit that it took some time to get used to your writing style, very different from my usual literary taste, but a change is always a good thing.

I thoroughly enjoyed Tez's story and meteoric rise, where the hell you'd take it from there I have no idea
But I'm looking forward to finding out mate

Sorry I didn't get the time to proof read it for you
another project got in the way, but I promise I will find the time to read it pretty soon.

Looking forward to it P I know there was a lot of work involved making the timelines tie up, and I'm sure you did that well.

Best of luck mate

Thanks Cody.

The only way I have of understanding if any sell, is to either watch the rankings or see how many reviews are made.

I have one so far. Good one at that although I had to look up the reference that was made. Lol.

Thanks mate.

Question for you though.

Is that self published?

It is published by Bookbaby but the answer is still sort of maybe, they will publish anyone as far as I am aware. Never the less, they are a Publisher. It depends on how you wish to look at it.

See my answer above in reply to the question from Syx.

If you go to the link, you will find where the Publisher is listed.

It isn't out yet. It's a sci-fi tetralogy.

Hey, how does it work, by the way? Does publishing there has fees, or anything? I am asking because I got no credit cards.

Yes, it has fees. They have specials all the time, but it still costs. Still, it is one way to do it.

Just lookup Bookbaby and see what you think. It is not for every body.
