His legacy is unimportant. The good works that he might have done for Oregon still exist. Aren't those what should matter? He, as a human male individual, is a non-entity in the grand scheme of things now. His days of public exposure as someone who wields considerable power and influence are now ended. So should any interest whatsoever in him. He was on top. He is no longer relevant. The only good that can come from this is a refusal to let our desire for the whole story, the pruient details, the slimy reveals, to override our fiscal sense. Do not put this man or his love bird on trial. Trials cost money. These two have cost Oregon enough, even if we never know exactly to the penny how much. He quit. He walked away. So should we.

Right, because it was surely a one man show... you're interest in deflecting responsibility (is he exempt from following laws because he quit?) is suspect, to say the least. Corruption is obviously widespread in Oregon (duh) and now that it's coming to light we should ignore it because someone might be embarrassed? A system of corruption doesn't just end over night because someone resigned, and any rational person knows this. All the other people who kept quite, cut deals, lied, cheated and stole are still fundementally involved running your goverment. You call for appeasement?

The fact remains, he did resign.

And his party pretty much threw him under the bus, and told him too.

Strange way to view it? "Threw him under the bus"? Should party allegiance trump corruption?

Perhaps that is what differentiates Dems and GOP? Dems police their own and GOP defend their crooks?

we are looking to spin this partisan...right?

Great so now you guys will be led by a bisexual lol. What's next the transgendered navy seal becomes president? America has become a joke! Nothing wrong with bisexuals, homosexuals, transgendered, pan sexual whatever, yes marry, adopt whatever! But they sure as hell don't represent my ideals and they should stay out of public office!
