Russia Warns US, Supplying Arms To Ukraine "Will Have Dramatic Consequences"

As Putin arrives at the Minsk Summit, his Deputy Foreign Minister makes the Russian position clear to Washington:

* U.S. ARMS SUPPLIES TO UKRAINE WILL HAVE DRAMATIC OUTCOME: IFX

* RUSSIA WILL NOT IGNORE U.S. ARMS SUPPLIES TO UKRAINE: IFX

Source

Normally I`m not that easily worried because sabre rattling is part of the political game in such cases.

But you bet Russia is ready for war.

"Social warning" from Russia: we are ready for war; are you?

And Russia is known to wanting to go that far, and on the other side you have a bunch who keep willing to dictate (wrong method with dealing with Russia).

Remember that invention called Kosovo? Good old USA bombing Serbia over the rights of a muslim minority that 'seemingly' wanted self determination. Wher is the right of eastern Ukranians who by the look of things also want self determination?

Why isn't the USA bombing Kiev into letting the Donetsk people go their own way like the Kosovans? Surely what's good for the goose is good for the gander? USA has played this one very very badly

No wonder it is blatantly clear from a Russian perspective that all the USA wants is to Ronald MacDonaldise another country into the Empire as a base for US commercial interests and combat troops. The Russians have every right to defend themselves against this

I'm starting to begin to understand that there is almost no way to peaceably resolve the Ukraine conflict. Putin refuses to withdraw his troops and arm from Ukraine territory, and the West is refusing to let Putin have his way in Ukraine.

I hope cooler heads prevail during the conference, but it seems apparent these talks are merely a formality, so the west can say "We tried", and justify arming Ukraine.

Not that I don't agree with arming Ukraine, but I think Russia will respond violently.

Really bad yeah.

I`m afraid the West still isn`t going to give in as is usual with them, and we know Russia isn`t going to do that either.

Honestly why is the US pocking its grubby noses in Ukraine?

Why cant the US just piss of and leave Ukraine to war on its own. The last thing a civil war needs anyway is MORE GUNS!.

Why does the US always feel the need to make things worse?

Anyway there are bigger threats the west is facing at the moments threats unlike Ukraine that are are actually threatening direct national security. Ie ISIS. concentrate on them FFS.

If anyone is underestimating resolve, it is Putin.

Yes, Obama would supplicate to the first bruin and give the whole of Europe to him on a platter while prostrated in a party dress, do you think that is going to go over well with the people who are actually under threat by all of this? Does Obama own Europe?

While I certainly don't want war, any failure to make it clear that we will defend our allies increases the likelihood of one.

Pfft I think a more simple way to put it with the USA is the USA wants to make a quick buck off arm sales from a civil war.

Wonder how many congressman have stocks or own weapon/ MIC related business that will make money.....

Maybe McCain can go pose for some photo with some "good" Ukrainian rebels.

Just to be clear, it was Russia that first "Poked it's nose in Ukraine's business" by annexing Crimea and supplying troops and arms to East Ukraine.

They are not simply giving them those weapons out of the goodness of their hearts. They have neither goodness or heats. There will be conditions attatched, there will be money involved. Evil corporations profiting from death.

Violence in Ukraine is isolated to Ukraine. Putin or east Ukraine wont dare go further in NATO lands like poland as UK/France/Germany alone would kick Russia back across the border in hours.

Russia= Armed forces based around 1980's tec and bits of 90's tec thrown in manned with poorly trained conscripts.

UK/France/Germany= Well trained troops renown throughout the world with 21st century equipment.

And then lets add USA armed forces into that mix, armed forces that dwarf the UK/French and German forces combined with even better tec.......

Yeah russia could NEVER win a offensive war and Putin knows.

Now ISIS are spreading and monsters affiliated conducting attacks in Europe and as fare as Australia.
So yeah I see them as a bigger threat.

Yeah they did.

Doesn't mean the USA should then poke there grubby noses in too.

In the last 60 years when has US interference ever resulted in any good?

The terrorism the world is dealing with......much is orchestrated false flags especially in the west.....
The invasion of Ukraine is real, and has killed off as many as 50,000 by now according to some estimates....
Terrorists not so much....
Terrorists do not pose a direct threat of nuclear proportions yet...Russia does.....and has advanced tech that's far deadlier than the terrorists.....
Terrorism is proxy war stuff...Russia has the capability to wage a REAL war....

Yeah so best not to bloody provoke them then!

You cant take Russia nukes away, they have them and there is nothing we in the west can do about them.

You certainly can be suggesting marching on Moscow?

If you read my above post Putin will not move beyond Ukraine.

He could NEVER win a offensive war in NATO held Europe.

Russia= Poorly equipped badly trained.

UK/France/Germany= modern 21st century highly trained

USA= modern 21st century highly trained and #ing vast in size.

Putin knows this and he may be many thing, monster, evil ect one thing he is not is dumb.

Rather than poking in to a civil war and likely making things worse (I mean come on your not dumb, what good could selling arms in Ukraine actually do?) we should just be focusing on making NATO stronger and making sure a Russia are contained in Ukraine.
