That said I seem to recall reading about someone else who supposedly worked for A51 (IIRC) who recounted how his first weeks of work turned out to be on a fake assignment that was more of a loyalty test than anything. The Gov't would monitor local papers and news for any leaks regarding fake assignments (I don't remember where I heard or read this so treat is as anecdotal).

This the same conclusion i came to while looking into Bob's claims.

Its generally believed that Bob Lazar is a fraud. What if that belief is wrong?

Anybody out there that thinks Bob (the knob) Lazar is legit?

He is just a fraud - exactly when and where did he get his "degree"? Research that and you woll see he is just a fraud.
Records can and are erased as and when deemed necessary! So this point is not a critical factor in determining his legitimacy!

I am personally undecided but when taking all the other UFO evidence into account I am swaying towards he's legit!

And if he is then........................................................

Like an other ATS member before me questioned ...why Bob doesn't produce his diploma's or certificates...... to George Knapp to name one person who can make Bob Lazar 100% verified and checked in an instant.

As I said before... if Bob is not able to produce these items because he says they are stolen from his home isn't adding to his credibillity.

And I agree there are some issues, like this, but it's the other stuff that's intriguing. It doesn't add up. Don't look just at what he can't produce, but look at the weird stuff that is true. Like, he did work at area 51 and the government covered that up. Why? You know what I mean?

A funny thing this is, becouse all these guys making outlandish claims always turn out to be frauds.

I would say that he is not lying. The government obviously limited his access then booted him out on his ass when his work was done. He is alive, so that means they don't see him as a threat to national security. Why they cut off their work with him could be for any number of reasons.

Never heard of the guy.
But considering the section, it has to be a guy claiming that there are ETs visiting us.
Then yes. Fraud or delusional. Obviously.

I used to think so......
Now not so sure of it........
There is some supporting "evidence" though hugely discounted.....
Bob Lazar, if you don't know, was the original whistleblower to the Area 51 / S4 back engineering of UFOs....claimed he worked there and saw them as well as worked on back engineering them.....

What supporting testable evidence?

Soiled jock straps?

Oh, you said testable.

I believe him. To me the biggest reveal was element 115 which wasn't known/"discovered" til some 20 years after he said it! Come on now...

Add one to the current high number and predict it's existence.

Come on now...

I believe he's telling the truth, but that's just me and I happen to believe that David Adair is telling the truth as well.

I have several reasons for believing Lazar's story, the first of which is the fact that element 115 is now recognized and included on the table of elements, which was hardly the case when he first talked about it.

Another reason I believe him is due to the fact that Boyd Bushman seems to agree with his assessment of what was going on at Area 51 during that time and I believe Bushman is legit as well.

I have other reasons as well, but I don't expect that my reasoning is going to convince any non-believers out there, so why waste the time?

If what he has to say feels right to you, believe it. Otherwise reject it. It's your choice.

Just don't let someone else decide for you.

And also, I think the fact that Lazar hasn't written a book about himself speaks volumes. He doesn't really seem to want to attract widespread attention to himself. He just doesn't strike me as a hoaxer.

He has honestly remained *somewhat* in obscurity in the annals of Ufology. His name isn't brought up a whole lot when discussing the topic.

PLEEZE take notes so you can make a thread about it when you get back. The only thing I've heard him say about it in recent years, is that he doesn't want to talk about it anymore. Says he's moved on, and doesn't want to be "the UFO guy" anymore. But, he's never denied it. Surely someone will put it on you-tube if they can, but taping might be out-lawed, so please be our eyes and ears!

(Wish I could go.) : (

Thanks!

4:00 – 5:30 PM Bob Lazar – A Special Q & A with Bob Lazar: Bob Lazar will participate in a question and answer session with George Knapp. Lazar claimed to have worked in 1988 and 1989 as a physicist in S4 allegedly located at Papoose Lake southwest of top secret Area 51 near Groom Dry Lake, Nevada. According to Lazar, S4 serves as a hidden military location for the study and research of extraterrestrial spacecraft, or flying saucers using reverse engineering. Lazar claims he saw nine different extraterrestrial vehicles there and has provided detailed information on the mode of propulsion and other technical details of a disc-shaped vehicle he called the sport model. Attendees will have the opportunity to submit questions to Lazar.

Hoaxers like putting their names out there. Writing books is a sign that someone wants their name out there and for people to see their work. So why hoax/lie about something and remain in obscurity for? If he did hoax/lie about it, then he damn sure wasn't seeking any publicity on the back end.

So yes, it does speak volumes that he didn't write a book. Lazar's name RARELY EVER comes up within the UFO discussion. Ive read 1000s of UFO related books and I can probably count the fingers on my right hand as an example of how many times hes been mentioned.

He wants to remain out of the widespread spotlight.

To me, that isn't someone who is lying or hoaxing.

And remember, hoaxers are attention whores. Lazar is everything BUT that.

Meanwhile you have people like George Adamski who shout from rooftops seeking attention.

Anybody out there that thinks Bob (the knob) Lazar is legit? If so can you
briefly state why you think so.

An unusually direct question... I like those...

At this point in history, I think the kindest thing to do would be to heed what I believe are Mr. Lazar's wishes...

Believe whatever you want. His assertions were not the product of a blossoming star in the posh and glamorous UFO circuit. The attention has brought him face to face with the most unseemly behavior from people he never wished to deal with, as well as bringing him the most extravagantly conceived grief. He has not prospered from the ordeal, nor has it made his life any better by stating the things he has.

Mr. Lazar is among the few examples of someone has been successfully 'dealt with' publicly by interests and entities that aren't supposed to exist. It's a sad affair.

If there are any of us who think that we don't live in a world where presidential hopefuls can 'manufacture' their credentials and personal histories; where we and our children are fed lies "from the boardroom" rather than facts from the field; where if you cross the wrong institutions you can consider yourself extremely lucky not to be dead ... then unlike me, you won't be able to believe that Mr. Lazar's personal information could have possibly been spindled, folded, altered, and mutilated... then given to the media to make a PR end run.

Yeah, unless told by the MSM.... many seem to not know what to think... most just don't. It's a sad affair.

To be fair to the RP2SticksOfDynamite; I believe Lazar's most problematic assertions deal with physics that are either not supported by, or in direct contradiction with what is accepted as fact. Whenever anyone does that - in any field; I would expect and welcome ardent skepticism... but it is disheartening that someone's skepticism was so overwhelming that they sought to destroy the man, rather than what he was telling us. According to him there are elements which behave in ways that many scientists have declared impossible; he has proposed understanding things which cannot be validated..., clearly he should have anticipated a peck of trouble from the academic industrial complex, ... I don't think he did. Now he runs from the story.

Everyday however, more and more 'facts' about the fundamentals of nature are become more plastic and less concrete...

I find it odd that the data (if we are to call it that) of the story is secondary to the story teller's "excommunication."
