video hosting fan fiction crowd source funding

I used the title to this thread as a google search term. I was looking for a site that would combine video hosting with fan fiction films, and an integrated crowd source funding of further development of the work. I found nothing of the like. I know there are a lot of folks on ATS that are online more than I am even. I thought I would ask the members if there was a site that fit the bill for this.

My inspiration was a recent Big Bang Theory TV show that discussed the Firefly Series. I thought perhaps the show could introduce a site like I discuss here to help it launch. That would be pretty cool. What do you think ATS?

I use vimeo for hosting my films
Indygogo for crowd funding
And withoutabox for potential diristribution.

I had to go back to 2007 to find a blog entry that briefly touched on this subject.

I believe there was a movement years ago to garner funding/support to continue with the Firefly series and it went nowhere. =(

That is the difference with fanfiction. It needs no official support. As evidence: www.kickstarter.com...
