Before I buy anything these days I ask a few questions:

Is it black?
Is it easy to wash?
Can I get away without ironing it?

If it ticks those boxes then I'm happy. I've got tons of old stuff I hardly wear because although it's black it would need ironing and careful washing.

I have to buy online now and so only get new stuff in times of great need - ie when I finally threw in the towel and admitted that most of my old black vests and TShirts were now actually grey or brown.

I've got a stack of old TShirts that I'll never throw out because even though some of them are too threadbare to wear they have great sentimental value. They were all nibbled by my pet gerbils, hamsters and rats and every little hole reminds me of the happy days I spent with them.

Stuff designer labels - my clothes got customised by experts.
