Jordan launched an intense air attack Thursday on Islamic State targets in Syria and for the first time inside Iraq as part of its broad response to the extremist group's killing of a Jordanian pilot by burning him alive.

USA TODAY: Jordan pounds Islamic State targets inside Iraq, Syria

Well this escalated quickly...

Within 24hrs, we see retaliation from Jordan. Bold and aggressive movie. I hear there is also a Jordanian clip posted on social media detailed the strike? Taste of their own medicine?

"This is a war the world cannot afford to lose,'' Jordanian King Abdullah II said in a statement released by Jordan's Embassy in Washington. "But to win it, all of us must be in it, to stand as partners in the fight against today's threats and to go beyond, to build the conditions for humanity to live together in peace.''

I am not much on monarch's, but dammit.

Abdullah get's it.

Looks like the war on terror has it's own pop star now. Now we just need Coca-Cola to release a limited edition soda can with an ISIS leader under the back tire of Abdullah's Harley Davidson chopper. It is about time the the war on terror got a proper commercial inauguration.

Jordan has always been an enlightened kingdom in the ME.
Not to say they don't have their problems but compared to Iraq or Syria, they do ok.....

Good for them. Hopefully Jordan and their supposed excellent special forces attack ISIS without mercy. I think they have a better chance for a favorable outcome and exit strategy than a U.S. led operation would be. These animals need to be put down.

Hmm......

About time.... lets hope the rest of them wake up and see that those books they read aren't all that great!

Here's hoping all these groups affiliated with ISIS burn in hell.... may the bombs drop down on their heads!

ISIS are paid scum as far as I'm concerned. Even if your on you 'jihad' your still taking ordered from paid commandeers ...

The war on terror is an effective tool for propaganda I even found my self saying damn I like that King. I hope he's the breath of fresh air that region needs and not in on a cia/Saudi thing.

ISIS and everyone like them can burn as far as I'm concerned, I have zero tolerance for there brand of religion.

Just a personal side note I hope Bashar Hafez al-Assad crushes the FSA as well.

I hate violence but read the headline and thought "please let this be a new movie tag-line from a porn star named Jordan"

That is all

which doesn't alter the fact one bit: they are savages, immoral and already dead=> not capable to return to human society after all the beheading they called the curse and are zombies now.

regarding the actual events, exactly how many military contracts do we have with Jordan?
or...why would they buy fighters and training with us if they had no place to use it?
Thanks CIA!

The King is dead .... (Abdullah in Saudi Arabia)

Long live the King ... (Abdullah in Jordan)

perhaps that prediction by some Imam up in Iran that the Mahdi and Isa would soon appear after King Abdullah dies got twisted around... because it seems that the Jordanian Abdullah is raining living hell upon IS instead of the Jihadists doing as-they-will to non-Muslims to prepare the chaos needed for the 12th Imam to appear

I sure hope the rest of any coalition will ramp up their efforts against IS-ISIS like King Abdullah has done, in true leadership fashion
