I think this is a little funny and a little scary at the same time.

Well, would you really expect to be able to identify ALL of the DNA on a NY subway train...

I hope they found King Kong's DNA... that one at least could be explained...

No,I think this means that DNA testing is not all its cracked up to be.

I think it means fifty percent of the organisms were bacterial, whose genes haven't been sequenced yet.

It only confirms what most New Yorkers already knew - half the creatures riding the subways are mutants and/or aliens.

Clicked on here because it's one of the strangest headlines I've seen. I know that those send-away DNA tests probably don't work. What I'm basing it on is a friend of mine had a father who was a lifelong member of an Indian tribe, and so his son said he was a quarter American Indian himself (his dad was half). Then the son's brother (another son, obviously, although who knows if the subway testing has any credibility, he could be anything, a fish of some kind) had his DNA tested and it said there was no Indian DNA, so he said his brother wasn't being truthful. It's a madhouse.

I think we need to call Maury Povich.

The insides of the cars may look clean. But, once you're underground on the platform, it's really visually dirty. And often you get that odor of sewage. Ex-NYer here, I'm not surprised it's not as clean as they like us to think.

I hadn't thought of that but, the tin-foil hat wearing,deep conspiracy side of me says that it is evidence that aliens can walk among us undetected.

That doesn't explain the "false" DNA matches with Tasmanian Devils, Himalayan Yaks,etc.

I do believe that your thread title is the most shocking I've read in a while. However lacking a suitable explanation such as faulty lab equipment or untrained staff, I do think this ought to be expedited to Lorne Michaels asap. There is a whole episode's worth of possible explanations to explore here.
