I hope this video stays up because it's the best laugh I've had all year.

I think love Alcee Hastings.

We need way, way more of this in Congress.
edit on 2/5/2015 by ~Lucidity because: laughing too hard.

Awesome!

Love him or hate him, he's got one thing that we don't have in any other politician.

He tells it like he sees it. Straight up truth-bomb.

Ah man, lighten up. Florida is as crazy as Texas, who is as crazy as California, who is as crazy as Arizona, who is as crazy as New York, who is as crazy as Mississippi, and so on!

We're all crazy! And this vid is hilarious!

Well, if Congress is a representative body, they yes, we more of a lot of different kind of people in Congress.

That and have a laugh now and then...it's good for the soul. Dude from Texas could have just laughed and gotten on with it too.

Exactly. That's what makes it so damn funny. The looney tunes are everywhere. They should mix it up more.

And while Stewart applauded Hastings because he “truly does not give a single snip,” he also lamented, “We are run by children

www.mediaite.com...

That was hardly funny.

It's just sad.

Stewart's assessment was spot on. We are run by children. And it's still funny.

There was way more to the bit, but this is the only clip available. He also slayed about the no-washing-hands dude from NC on the same show.

Silly me I thought it was one of the jobs of congressman to build bridges between each other not set them on fire.

Don't be sad neo. : (

Everybody breaches protocol; gets out of line once in a while. It's quite a human thing.

No. Instead of all of the behind the back, in secret, political games, we need more honest people just like this. Tell it like it is. I appreciate honesty. Apparently you don't?

This is so dang hilarious!

And once again Florida (by proxy) proves it is indeed the craziest state.

It is hilarious, but it's bar humor and should've been relegated to the bar and not in a professional (supposedly) venue. It reflects poorly on the morons who elected him in Florida.

Are you from Texas by any chance?

,,,,,tippy toes out of room.

Actually I'm not. I'm just a little bit sensitive these days to politicians and their antics. Having state governors squabbling with unfounded, gratuitous insultery is so unprofessional and divisive with all the other crap going on in the world trying to divide us, that anybody who participated or promulgated such a spiel ought not to be in a position of leadership.

Mind you, I did think it was funny as all get-up.

Yes because governments made up of humans are never unprofessional. Check out the umbrellas in this one...LOL!

And the nutty Indians...
