I'm glad you picked up on that.

As any self-respecting socialist will tell you, "people suck".

I read his book, and it's pretty easy to explain his view of himself. If the reader will indulge me two seconds we'll fly down there to the trenches of ww1 and see the moment, the day, and the hour, that dur-furor became a hero. The first superhero infact. Superheros, they do all these amazing things, but they all have one thing in common, origin stories. For Hitler there in the mud of ww1 he was gassed in the face and went blind.

Everything that happens is an expression of what happended to him that day. Those people that he had tried and executed later, had decided to hold a civil wages strike at a munitions factory crippling the offensive during war time. When he came to power he had them prosecuted in open court. In his mind it wasn't even for himself. He was only, and humbly, exonerating the Wehrmacht.


TLDR: That's it, not an atomic accident but gassed blind during ww1, he manufactured himself as the first superhero.
