Now I don't think any of our primate brothers and sisters should be pets but I sure would love to live with one (apart from the hairless apes I live with now).
So here is a few videos to get the thread started.

Baby monkey
.

An amazing chance encounter with mountain gorillas (I would crap me pants...even my paisley Y-Fronted ones).

My fave Gorilla Koko gets sad news
.

A Gibbon trolling a tiger lol
.

So who else adores our evolutionary brothers and sisters?.

Don't like monkeys...

Or clowns

Or mimes

Or dolls

Basically anything with a human like face.

Oh...and some humans as well.

But monkeys? Creepy little lice ridden, stinky, feces flinging, big tooth bastards...

Wait...maybe that's human after all?

Ok, monkeys it is.

Peace

The bloke in the second vid has balls of steel!, i would of sh#t a brick!. I had to go a shore in south africa while i was at sea, before i stepped on the dock, i saw warning signs about wild apes/gibbons, i went straight to my lock up and grabbed a side arm!!, any primate over the size of a spider monkey freaks me out!!
Good vids

All the best.

Just Say NO to Pet Monkeys!

Its kind of humorous but very serious. So many monkeys are abandoned as they get mature.

I agree here in the UK we have Monkey world which houses abandoned Monkeys/apes and have a TV show called Monkey life.
(great show btw has me in tears many times).

www.monkeyworld.org...

Wish I could just be around them more....heck If I had the money I would go down there and work for free.
I have been studying Chimp sounds and know a few.

I got my Ape/monkey fascination from my Grandad Monkey (yes thats what we called him) he once owned a Chimp...but that story is a bad one....

Koko is one of my favorites.

She loves Mr. Rogers. Here she is meeting him.

She was also a fan of Robin Williams. Here they are:

She also got to meet William Shatner

Koko was one of the coolest gorillas ever!

A few months ago I spent several hours reading and watching videos about her with my daughter when she asked if primates could talk to people.

Why yes, yes they can!

When I first saw that video of the gorilla group greeting that cameraman on the trail - I must have watched it 20 times
