O.O
Are you seriously making that argument?
For one, it's not just talking about our early ancestors.

I'm not saying we should be anything.
You're the one speaking for your opinion as to what should be.
Like a lot of people who think only their viewpoint will make for a better world.
Crusade on good crusader, just excuse my rolling eyes.

I'm just pointing out the obvious fact we are omnivores and were designed by nature as such.
The science on the subject repeatedly shows thatm
Despite whatever make yourself feel good about your choices spin you want to put on the information.

I think of this topic like I think about Christianity or global warming, if you're into it great for you, but don't come to my door like a Jahovas

For the environment and the world population it needs to happen..

l poverty and the worst impacts of climate change.” The report also points out that as the world’s population approaches over 9 billion people by 2050, it will not be possible to sustain the per capita consumption of meat and dairy products that we are currently eating

www.vegsource.com...

Yeah I get it, its a care for the future thing, but at some point the planet will no longer be able to support human life period. As it was for the dinosaurs and the creatures between and before all life has a cycle, however it is presumptuous to think that you, I or a combination of we, can stop a global growth rate or affect global climate to extend the inevitable eradication of the human race. There are forces in nature that pollute more, destroy more and have a larger cosmic effect on the earth than a simple parasitic organism occupying a space for a finite time.

Environmentalism and Global Warming are the new Christianity in terms of Crusades, not nearly as violent (yet) but serve the same purpose of convert or die.

No thats not what you were doing. I put a chart up suggesting we where more herbivore than omivore. You pointed out nothing. You simply sent me a wall of text as if it was someone countering the points made in my above post. It did not nor have you.

I refuted your claim with credible information.
Not my fault if you can't be bothered to read.

I can not agree with that ... or the so called science ...
But again personal choice in which there is no right or wrong only consequences ...

Some Vegans make their choice based on health and empathy ... I do agree it serves no purpose to push one's personal views on others ... as this is just a form of indoctrination ... and the world is choking to death on Indoctrination ...

My point being that we each are at liberty to make our own choices

Short sighted empathy borne of a complete ignorance of how nature works.
I'm sorry but it's true.

Here's two examples.
Say we stopped hunting deer tomorrow.
Since we have removed their natural predators they will breed to the point the enviroment can not support them.
Which means we will have large populations of animals starving to death.
And then there's the species of plant life that will be wiped out.

Sure, we could reintroduce the predators.
But how would you like losing a loved one to say, a mountain lion attack?

Then there's the fact that the species we have domesticated would go extinct if we were to just cut them loose.

Nature's not nice.

Honestly I just meant the cheeseburger, but read how you will. I more subscribe to goats milk as it has a higher nutritional value and does not require the same processes as bovine milk. Either way agendas are agendas, and I don't believe in the limitation of freedom or freedom of choice no matter the good, bad or otherwise. Since 2001 Americans have signed over freedom for the sake of security and eventually there will be no freedom because once you give it up you'll never get it back. I think that forcing an agenda, whether it be veganism, socialism, gun control, abortion, human rights, global warming or anything else is a bad idea and only serves to limit individuality, which should be celebrated. Like i said if you like what you do then be proud of it, if you don't like what someone else does tolerate it because it's something they enjoy doing. (within reason of course excluding murder, rape, torture and those socially unacceptable bad things we all agree should stop, unless of course you like the the bad things to wich I say shame on you for being a bad person).

Because you are comparing apples to oranges.
And doing a rather poor job at it.
Our tool use has had obvious implications on our morphology.
The fact that this escapes you is not all that puzzling considering.

That is your opinion which I am not here to argue with ...
I have my own opinions which are valid to me as yours as valid to you

Regarding the rest of your post ... Yes nature is not nice especially Human Nature that wishes to dominate and control the natural world ... I find that idea truly ignorant

I agree with much of your post ... I am on the side of Human Liberty ...
I have friends who think differently to me about several things but we agree to disagree without holding resentments

I am not accusing of you that and I do realise you were being light hearted in a way

Yes there are so many issues on which we agree that to get bogged down on differences is silly really

Yes lets support each others right to make our own choices and if our choices are different so be it ... so long as we care enough to work towards Liberty as I believe you do

Light hearted yes, but I am serious about civil liberties. I can't with good conscious limit your freedoms without sacrificing mine. That being said I don't think morality plays a part in food choice, because there is no real standard for morality anymore. It's gauged not with logic and understanding but with emotion and self serving ideology, The only true morality in this world anymore is how do I profit from forcing people to adhere to my sense of right and wrong.

And then you post a picture of BACON!! I had venison tonight and it was great fresh kill from a car this morning so what should I have ethically done with that??? I did my best and will finish butchering it tomorrow. And I didn't even have to hit it.

No stars for you

Life is good

Venison and Bacon doesn't get much better!!

I do not doubt that but also for many Vegans the Liberty of other animals is also a serious matter
