I think that FOTL has slunk off to the corner feeling abused. Awww...poor guy!

That's what happens though when you hop onto a soap box with a half assed plan.

So much for his/her supposed superior lifestyle. Which is, to put it bluntly, simply pathetic.

Don't hate on LordForm, we are all individuals & once you really recognize a fellow poster, you will always understand where they're coming from.

Not to mention he was able to brag about a post he made in the past that was removed for manners violation; I am always trying to think of ways to brag about my modded posts but this guy was actually able to do it! I normally just say offhanded things that very subtly mock the mods to get their attention. It's like a game we play.

Hey if my "murder the hypotenuse"/Yandere posts weren't removed, I think you're relatively safe.

Besides, we've managed to stay mostly on topic.

Speaking of on topic: I think FOTL is well within his rights to discuss his lifestyle. I don't think he intended to belittle anyone who eats meat, rather give his perspective and inquire as to why certain omnivores have the lifestyle they do.

LordForm has similar base ideals as myself, at least regarding ATS. He was trying to merely encourage critical thought & discussion in general. Like most Christian fundamentalists & humans he has a big ego & projects a bit.
He doesn't like getting into verbal jousts if he can help it & tries to derail negative arguments towards larger general concepts. I think I've praised him & attacked him for it several times already lol

I think Tdawgs post was a little mean, but not necessarily uncalled for

The way we keep the animals we kill may be immoral sometimes but eating them is not and never will be. The truth is it takes a large amount of farmland to feed everybody but one animal can feed dozens for days. There is not anywhere near enough crop land to feed us all. The synthesized proteins used in fake meats cannot be made anywhere near efficiently enough to replace all the meat we need to survive as a race. Also, the meat alternatives all taste like crap. Without meat most of us will starve to death. Letting humanity die by the millions due to starvation is immoral. And you never answered an earlier poster that asked you if you consider the billions of bugs we kill for that farmland to not be just as worthy of life as the animals.

Edible protein per unit of land - wrong.

The facts are a little scarier than this vis-a-vis meat addiction (a preference that cannot be stopped)...

Milk, eggs and cheese provide the sources of vitamin B12 so that 'most of you WONT starve to death'...without killing an animal.

I have found, meat eaters (on the whole) react like smokers or gamblers or drug addicts when challenged in any way on the issue...

It's a cultural preference developed by human that has only one advantage - the injection of protein. Not eating meat does not kill you, frees up land for vegetable production and does not contribute to punching holes in the ozone to the magnitude of a third...there is no good reason to eat meat except 'I lurv the taste'...pretty much the same sentiment attached to any certifiable addiction...

What I find funny is that the vast majority of Vegans are also pro-abortion.....won't kill anything with parents...except their own children.....nice.

Silly blanket statement obviously geared at starting a fight.

Try again.

It's really not that simple. Human instinct is to eat meat along with vegetables. We are omnivorous by nature. Some humans are able to overcome those instincts and eat only vegetables, which is fine. I certainly won't belittle vegetarians or vegans for their lifestyle, but I do see an increasing trend of vegans belittle meat eaters for their lifestyle.

Sorry, if you're a vegetarian/vegan that does not make you better than anyone else. It makes you a person who made a choice, and nothing more.
