of course. if you have to pay overhead, chicken food, vaccinations, bio-security protocol health and safety compliance, inspections , licensing, records keeping salaries for labor, transportation costs, equipment housing utilities and all other costs incurred you are not going to eat a loss. you are not in business to eat a loss. you are in business to make money to pay for the over head and make a living. no one can run a business who cannot or will not make a profit. you go bankrupt. so when your overhead costs increase you almost always must increase your prices to compensate.

this isn't complicated to understand. it's common sense. those who don't understand it don't want to understand it. I'd like to see them run a business in accordance with their ideal to eat every expense and loss without passing on costs. if they have sense they would refuse to enter business under those circumstances or protest. if they don't have sense it is amusing to see them lose their life savings and go bankrupt. but none of the businesses should eat the increased expenses crowd would do that because most of them really know deep in their hearts they are being unreasonable. and the ones that don't are too ignorant to be making decisions in business matters.

The chickens are providing people with nourishment in the form of eggs.

Why should they not be treated humanely while doing so? Why should they live their lives suffering for you, so you could steal their cheap eggs?

If a few dollars extra a week destroys your budget that much, if you feel so entitled and so indignant about this, do without.

Plus, i betcha this is more an excuse to price gouge and make a poiint than the actual recouping of actual expenses.

just pray the aliens or the corporations never come for you and treat you the same way, like pigs and chicken and cattle.
