The Beautiful South

One of my favorite bands as a kid--my parents started listening to them 'cause of some English friends and I think I started listening to them at age 7. This is a pretty great one that kinda fits with the alternative theme of this site so I figured I'd share it. They're a great group, so I highly recommend checking them out more.

I grew up in Hull and for some time lived round the corner from Grafton Street. Still see Paul Heaton in one of the local pubs but think he lives in Manchester now. Aye, not a bad band. Obviously The Housemartins is where it started and where this cheeky chappy began playing bass before he became a superstar DJ!

I've always been a fan. I liked the house martins too.
