They used to have peanut coated doughnuts in the bakeries. man I loved those things!! I have not seen on in a long time! They don't seem to make them anymore since so many became allergic to the peanuts.
I have to wonder...
Just what was it that suddenly made so many people allergic to peanuts that companies had to stop using them to make things like peanut doughnuts and schools to ban them???
The population increase, imo.
The more people there are, the more that are allergic to things, the more that smoke, and the more that hate it.
Peanuts and smoking aren't new by any means, it's 2015.
People are.

Are you seriously implying that smoking isn't bad for you and doesn't cause health problems?
I'm not gonna say much about what they American soldiers were fighting for, though the resounding answer is always "Freedom". I will say this, when we came to this continent it was for the riches we would find. That is what the King was funding when he set out to have this region explored. As we settled here we found we could not deliver those riches in the form of gold and jewels and what have you in a capacity that was going to please the regime that funded it. We almost "died out" here (some settlements did die out) before we could even get a foothold. Then the natives showed us how to grow tobacco. IT WAS WHAT MADE TRADE POSSIBLE. We had something other than abject failure to bring back to our benefactors. So a case could be made that tobacco built this country and made Canada possible.

You are funny. I am a nazi SS because I think people shouldn't be able to smoke in community buildings? No need to bring up anything else, because I didn't comment on anything else. You are right though, that is so very nazi of me and so very jewish of you. You are the modern day Anne Frank, you just need to write a book about how difficult your life has become as a smoker. HIding away in closets smoking cigs, ducking the "Man" and persecution for your sins.
SOOOOOOO dramatic. So selfish, couldn't care less about anyone or anything other then your god given right to burn cigarettes anywhere and anytime you damn well choose, by God! Still waiting for the argument that the right to smoke cigs anywhere you want was fought for by your grandfathers in Vietnam, WW2, Korea, and WW1. The civil war wasn't about slavery or states rights, it was actually over the North wanting to ban public smoking and the south fighting it because they grew lots of tobacco.
You can even start wearing Che Guevarra shirts.

For those on the anti smoking side, the first point you'll make is "Look!! Cigarette Smoke!!" and ignore all the other things you're breathing. After you've torn out all the old carpet, replaced the cabinets, unplugged all the air fresheners [ they smell good so they just can't be bad for you right? ] had a test for asbestos if you live in an older home or building, throw away all your cleaning products, get rid of all the bug spray or insect repellent and have your heating system checked and fixed if needed, junk that new car [ all that plastic and treated leather omitting fumes ya know ]...........then we can start talking about second hand smoke. But, once again, that doesn't fit the "Get The Smokers!!" campaign, so it'll be ignored or brushed aside because "But...But... that's different!!"

Not at all.
No idea where you got that from. Please tell me which of my habits you pay for?
Maybe healthier to the air but studies have not been done on long term effects of any of these options either. Which is also why the same people who got the smoking bans in place are now after the vaping industry too. The zero tolerance attitude is not solely owned by smokers who refuse to quit but by the "savers of humanity" who seek to ban anything they deem harmful in any way. I'd say we are at least half way down the slippery slope already. I've quit but still vape and I have my "ice cleats on". I'm not sliding any more and I might even begin walking back to the top IF I CHOOSE.

You should probably smoke that outdoors as well.
ETA: You could also try vaping it, vaping oil, or even eating edibles. None of those produce burnt smoke and would all be healthier in the air.

Like to cook a steak once in awhile - why should your vegan neighbour have to endure a smell he finds gross?
Now I'm really worried.

Last year I was imprisoned in our local hospital for quite some time (weeks) one night I signed myself out for a walk about 3 am or so. My whole idea of a walk was to have a smoke. I signed out and the Nurses at the desk are laughing because the place is locked down for the night and there is no way I am getting outside.
I had a monitor on me which indicated my location and heart rate etc etc. I checked all the doors and sure as heck they were locked and the only option was the fire doors which I smartly chose not to open.
This is a brand new hospital with all the security and cameras you could wish for ( I wished for none of this) anyways after not being able to find a way out I got to thinking about the underground parking.
I figured all the Doctors get the good heated/cooled parking inside and I was correct. Took the elevator down to the basement and walked up to the big roll up door and hit the open button. I was free! and was careful to make my way to the city property before lighting up a smoke......
It was a bit chilly as I only had my gown on and my shoes but I had no complaints at all, that was till I saw this neon green vested person making haste towards me at an astonishing rate.
Checking to make sure I was on city property and not Hospital property I awaited the arrival of my new found friend. The security guy was pissed off big time, He says to me put that smoke out and follow me back inside. I asked him If I was breaking a law and he just scowled at me in answer.
So then I asked him how he knew where I was and he says we were watching you on the security cameras and I better get back inside the Hospital.
I said I want to finish this smoke and who am I harming besides myself? He made it plain as day to me that if I did not follow him back inside they would forcibly take in indoors. So off he goes march stepping with me following at very slow walk which pissed him off even more:-) All the while I was finishing my smoke and smiling whilst he kept looking back and telling me to hurry up.
My punishment for that night was that he paraded me through the Emergency Department (which is always busy night or day) to the amusement of people waiting to be seen by a doctor.
He walked my through there in my beautiful flowered gown and my two IV's stuck in my elbows and my monitor hanging around my neck. I was red faced for sure but I did take the time to wave to my new fans sitting in chairs all jaw dropping at the same time.
Once inside the first locked security door I was handed off to two guys to escort me up to my floor. They were treating me not with kid gloves but with Iron fists.
Thats my story and it's the truth, I ask you who was I endangering outside a sealed building on city property?
I must say at least the security guys don't wear Jack Boots.
Regards, Iwinder

While in not in favor of ripping our health care down, I would absolutely agree we should not pay for people's self destructive habits.
Overweight? Lose it before your knee operation so tax payers don't pay again in 2 years when you blow your new, tax payer funded knee out.
Alcoholic? Don't come take my money to pay for your new liver.
Smoking is no different.
