This is a bizzare little nugget-
A prank on the Prime Minister-or a hack of phone numbers?.

Downing Street says it is to review security procedures after a hoax caller was put through to Prime Minister David Cameron.
Number 10 said the caller claimed to be Robert Hannigan, director of government monitoring agency GCHQ.
Mr Cameron ended the call when it became clear it was a hoax and no sensitive information was disclosed.

Sort it out Dave, theres a good chap!
On your 1990's telephone...

edit:

www.skynews.com.au...

A Government spokesman said: 'Following two hoax calls to Government departments today, a notice has gone out to all departments to be on the alert for such calls.
'In the first instance, a call was made to GCHQ which resulted in the disclosure of a mobile phone number for the director.

Brilliant!
Its great to know that any imbecile can punk the top levels of our government..

I like the 1990's phone bit

So to get it straight, an official mobile/number was located, and the head of GCHQ's private mobile was hacked, presumably information for the Downing street number was obtained via Hannigan's mobile..so God knows what other high profile numbers might have been nabbed! Hang on...isn't Hannigan an Irish name? Ooooooo!

To add, can you believe that SKYNews bit..or is it damage limitation?

Prank calls prove a point. Some can be quite funny. Some not.

Food for thought

Pitty the hoax caller on the other end of the line could not do the world a favour and make Cameron's phone explode!

Sadly, our government will now want to make an example of that prank caller. He can probably expect a 5am wakeup call from the police as they crash through his front door within the next few days.

I would respectfully disagree-Dave may have some funny ideas, many that I do not support, but I wouldn't want his phone to explode.
He is basically a thouroughly nice chap with a horrid job.

Being Scottish myself and an avid supporter of the YES campaign I would have to respectfully disagree with you. Personally I find the Man to be a totalitarian orientated little goblin. But that's just my opinion.
