Well, first off, your most recent submission didn't contain a properly formatted first paragraph, only two fractured sentences with a hard-return
after the first. Our guidelines clearly request that special be applied to that first paragraph, as it's the most important piece (appears on ATSNN
home page and in the RSS news feeds).
Right next to the form field for the first paragraph, this message appears:
Introduction paragraph: A single properly formatted paragraph as a summary of the story you're submitting in your own words. Do not
copy-and-paste material from the online news article your sourcing. Minimal intro paragraphs will not be accepted.
Unfortunately, your submission didn't quite meet with this standard.
Also, the subject line indicated "TA Attack" of which the story was not an attack of terrorist origins, but what appears to be a bus hijacking.
Given the volume of submissions, and frequency of submissions that don't fit our clearly indicated requests, our editors often do not have the
opportunity for comments on every rejected submission.
