This true blooded American does no longer trust in his own Government due to being a victim of the state and no longer feel safe within it's own borders.
All government, in its essence, is a conspiracy against the superior man: its one permanent object is to oppress him and cripple him. If it be aristocratic in organization, then it seeks to protect the man who is superior only in law against the man who is superior in fact; if it be democratic, then it seeks to protect the man who is inferior in every way against both. One of its primary functions is to regiment men by force, to make them as much alike as possible and as dependent upon one another as possible, to search out and combat originality among them. All it can see in an original idea is potential change, and hence an invasion of its prerogatives. The most dangerous man to any government is the man who is able to think things out for himself, without regard to the prevailing superstitions and taboos. Almost inevitably he comes to the conclusion that the government he lives under is dishonest, insane and intolerable, and so, if he is romantic, he tries to change it. And even if he is not romantic personally he is very apt to spread discontent among those who are. The Smart Set (December 1919)

I wasn't going to post anything about this address. I didn't watch it.....I have a hard time listening to what I perceive as a lack of sincerity.
So I thank SO for printing the text.
It's hard for me to say anything nice....all I see is the potential for more taxes for me and mine to pay for his pie in the sky ideas.....and I still cannot afford the faux insurance plan I had shoved down my throat....nor can i afford to see a doctor, or get a prescription filled.
I have yet to feel the full brunt of the Detroit Bankruptcy.....or the sellout of the Detroit Water System....things the federal government did not feel the need to get involved with....as corporations and banks are more important than people these days.
The energy regulations are hurting. That is a worry.....
I feel the economy is not doing as well as we are told. I see prices rising. And quality deteriorating.
I don't see jobs being created like we are being told......and part time jobs with no future will not return this country to greatness.
I don't know anyone who can save for retirement.....most I know live paycheck to paycheck. Homes in my area are still falling to foreclosures.
The shadow of crisis has passed, and the State of the Union is strong.
Will we accept an economy where only a few of us do spectacularly well?
Will we approach the world fearful and reactive,
Will we allow ourselves to be sorted into factions and turned against one another
about ten million uninsured Americans finally gained the security of health coverage.
Middle-class economics works.
or refighting past battles on immigration
middle-class economics means helping working families feel more secure in a world of constant change. That means helping folks afford childcare, college, health care, a home, retirement — and my budget will address each of these issues, lowering the taxes of working families and putting thousands of dollars back into their pockets each year.
I say this: If you truly believe you could work full-time and support a family on less than $15,000 a year, go try it. If not, vote to give millions of the hardest-working people in America a raise.
We still need laws that strengthen rather than weaken unions,
By the end of this decade, two in three job openings will require some higher education. Two in three. And yet, we still live in a country where too many bright, striving Americans are priced out of the education they need. It’s not fair to them, and it’s not smart for our future.
My first duty as Commander-in-Chief is to defend the United States of America.
Second, we are demonstrating the power of American strength and diplomacy.
In Cuba, we are ending a policy that was long past its expiration date..
The best scientists in the world are all telling us that our activities are changing the climate, and if we do not act forcefully, we’ll continue to see rising oceans, longer, hotter heat waves, dangerous droughts and floods, and massive disruptions that can trigger greater migration, conflict, and hunger around the globe.
I still believe that we are one people.
live the idea that we are our brother’s keeper, and our sister’s keeper.
Imagine if we broke out of these tired old patterns. Imagine if we did something different.
A better politics is one where we debate without demonizing each other; where we talk issues, and values, and principles, and facts, rather than “gotcha” moments, or trivial gaffes, or fake controversies that have nothing to do with people’s daily lives.
it’s possible to shape a law that upholds our tradition as a nation of laws and a nation of immigrants.
We may go at it in campaign season, but surely we can agree that the right to vote is sacred; that it’s being denied to too many;
We may have different takes on the events of Ferguson and New York. But surely we can understand a father who fears his son can’t walk home without being harassed.
I have no more campaigns to run.
My only agenda for the next two years is the same as the one I’ve had since the day I swore an oath on the steps of this Capitol — to do what I believe is best for America.

The scary thing is there are actually Americans out there that buy his lies and broken promises.
That had everything to do with the UK, and it's operation boot so BP could buy the Anglo-Persian Oil Company.
You mean the poors greed right ?
That would be the Potus having a problem with accepting reality.
As his policies have been EPIC failures.
And yet it sure looks like you are empowering those who want to destroy us.
How? By cutting our military and going on an unending apology tour?
Fear mongering. The science isn't finished on this.
And yet you are the most divisive POTUS we've had in my lifetime.
And yet that's exactly what you do ... partisan rhetoric. oh, and Bengahzi isn't a 'fake controversy'.
Dude .. throwing wide open the doors of the country and inviting the illegals in is NOT good for anyone. And we already have laws in place that regulate immigration. It has to be a controlled flow otherwise the country suffers. That's basic economics. Go take a class on it sometime.
When you leave the White House, you'll go repeat pretty speeches written by other people for big money. So you do have more campaigns to run.
God help us.

21st century businesses will rely on American science, technology, research and development. I want the country that eliminated polio and mapped the human genome to lead a new era of medicine — one that delivers the right treatment at the right time. In some patients with cystic fibrosis, this approach has reversed a disease once thought unstoppable. Tonight, I’m launching a new Precision Medicine Initiative to bring us closer to curing diseases like cancer and diabetes — and to give all of us access to the personalized information we need to keep ourselves and our families healthier.
What he said about curing diabetes and cancer. If they have it cured by the time his term is up, the Democrats will have the White House from 2016-2020. I have huge doubts about it. I know he has said a lot of things even in 2008 that haven't happened yet. I paid attention to the whole speech, but this paragraph will stick with me over the next few years. You don't make big promises like that without something to back them up.

No mention of droning children, pensioners & pregnant women?
There may have been I stopped at "terror touching our shores"...
Seperation of church & state?
No such thing as Christian terrorists?
I can't even...
you're nothing but a christian-hating anti-semite "racist" yourself.
