According to people on the street, MLK is alive and still standing up to deliver...“Today, on Dr. Martin Luther King Day, we asked 14 people if they saw the speech Dr. King gave this morning — and seven of them said they had.” Kimmel.

Is this for the joke forum? TV? People?

Personnaly, I think it's a social issue but do your thing mods.

After the segment Jimmy states "We're in a lot of trouble."

Ya think?

RIP MLK
January 15, 1929 – April 4, 1968

Peace

Nothing surprises me.

My son heard from a kid at school that MLK day is a day when you aren't supposed to play with black kids.

Are you saying these people, think he's alive, like Tupac, or that he never died in the first place?!

Sorry I can't watch YT from here.

Yep...Kimmel went on the street and interviewed people asking them what they thought of the speech he gave on MLK day and asked them to compare it to the one he gave in 1963. These people all said he was amazing and how shocked they were that he was giving a speech since he isn't seen that often in public anymore and on and on.....

14 were interviewed with 7 responding with comments like:

"One guy said he thought King looked like he had gained weight and even offered some advice on how MLK could get back in shape: “You need to hit the treadmill, cardiovascular and all that.” He added, “You can do it — I believe in you.”''

"Great Speech, very rare!"

Yet sheeple is one of the dumbest words.
It is a pompous word that makes people think they know better than others so they can sit on a high horse looking down on others because they think others are dumb while they pretend to know everything.

This thread highlights how disconnected we are and the word sheeple is a weak point....try another.

were total morons in this country people need to realize that in order to begin the process of re-educating themselves with a more realistic perspective

And these are the people urged to "Rock the Vote" because they're too clueless to even realize when or if there is an election.

Sometimes I think an IQ test at a polling station might not be that bad of a thing.

(of course, I'm kidding.

I think.)

Or it shows how easily people can be coached.
Also the fear of be recorded for missing an event that you probably should have watched.

It is really sad, to be able to be coached into saying you watched something by a man you should know has been long dead.

I believe better terms might be:

Uninterested

Self-absorbed

Apathetic

Fearful

All these are sure to lead to sheepleness. Hey a new word!
