Attention Members: The Issue with the Frozen New Thread Posting should be fixed.

I've just moved new code from the sandbox site, to the live ATS site. This should correct the issues with the frozen new-thread form, and resulting in multiple postings of identical threads.

The new form for new threads also has some enhanced functionality…

This new form now tosses up an alert box if something went wrong…
-- no thread title
-- thread title too long
-- no permissions to post in specified forum
-- posting too often (flooding ATS)
-- opening post too short
-- etc.
And most importantly, it preserves your post content so you can make corrections.

If you encounter any issues with this new form, please use this thread to let me know.

The saving thing is a gift from the proverbial ATS God! If I had a nickel for every time I've free-authored a thread only to have it get lost in posting, forever? I'd have like tree fitty.

Sounds like some good changes. I especially like the notice to a poster that their OP is too short, that should make some of the young uns who grew up as tweeters put on their thinking caps.

Not sure if this pertaining to what your are talking about, but I can't even make a thread

Went to a forum, clicked to make new thread and my page is blank all except the donation bar at top

Is this related to the same issue or is it a separate one all together?

This is the only site I have problems with and it's ever since the server attack several weeks ago
Tonight, the pages won't load, they keep timing out on me

I finally got this page to come up after about 5 tries

I can surf the web, visit various news sites, a couple other sites with no problem
Until I come here

Which is why my posting has been cut waaaay down from what I normally post


Not complaining mind you, just informing
