I got the the mask in Senegal (West Africa). I think it may be Chokwe. Can someone identify it and maybe give a value?

dimensions: 19inch X 10.5inch

The The Chokwe are an ethnic group of Central Africa whose ancestry can perhaps be traced to Mbundu and Mbuti Pygmies. Large groups of Chokwe currently reside in Angola, Zambia, and the Democratic Republic of Congo and lately in Namibia.

Thanks

Value will be dependant on age of the carving as well as quality of the carving.

If it's not historical, then it is worth what someone will buy it for...typically between 80 to 150.

I carve and collect carvings, actually did an OP last month on an African mask I have of a differing style.

Is yours signed? They rarely are

Nice piece btw, looks rather detailed.

Cheers
