Someone who knows what they're talking about when it comes to Hollywood.

My kid works there. Of course "there" is actually everywhere, not just a physical place.

It surprised me in the beginning to learn it's not a big machine, but mostly a bunch of small groups.

And it's definitely not all liberal. In fact I'd say it's more conservative as the bottom line is making money.

But not nearly on the same level for what they did.
Kyle killed a bunch of people, whoopie.

He defended the lives of people that should have never been there in the first place.

And @answer this is just a rehashed movie with a new person as the center piece.
What mlk doc/movie do you think was the best or better then this one?

Probably just the rambling of foreigners that are surprised that American LOVE war movies.

I'm not sure of the extent of the 'buzz' but it must be coming from people who got lost in Translation.

contrary to popular opinion and the day this is...this ain't the home of the non-violent peaceful protest.

Any publicity is good publicity. There's no business like show business.

Or the minds of the people who continue to support Hollywood's endeavors...and so it goes round and round, in the circle game.

Don't do that. I just got in touch with my Ethel Merman side. That's uncomfortable.

The only good thing about the chris kyle story is the way it ends.

He should of hooked up with Eddie Routh a whole lot sooner.

well at least it is getting seen by many now and getting some good reviews other than the usual db's.

I think the guy is still on the job but he has a much higher vantage point now.

As a matter of fact i know it to be fact.

Kyle volunteered to go wherever the military sent him He didnt choose to go there did he? Those others were also there through orders as well. To commit murder you have to prove they deliberatly set out to kill someone in cold blood.
The bible is clear on soldiers doing their jobs as well. so no it wasnt murder.

Who gives a crap what the Bible says? This isn't Abrahamic religion chat. We're talking about a film.

Not saying he commited murder, though I am sure one or two could be seen that way.
Just that his 'heroic" deed was killing people.

And ya Idc what the Bible says it has no say in what is or isn't murder

I think it's a shame honestly. The guy was a braggart and douche.

Also he claimed he and a buddy went down during Katrina and shot "bad" people. Who was he to judge. At best he was a liar and at worst a murderer of American civilians.

As harsh and messed up as it is to say.. i'm not sure you are wrong.

Killed people in an unjust war.
Bragged about punching out a 60 year old vet (which may be a lie).
Talked about how he and a buddy drove down to New Orleans and killed several "bad people" during Katrina meaning American's without due process - judge jury and executioner. (which may be a lie).

Then he took a guy with extreme depression and extreme PTSD to a shooting range? That may have well intended or it may have been messed up and was obviously not a good idea.

lol I still think the movie was great. It can stand on it's own two feet without publicity. I know it's all about the money. At least Clint has his touch on America's pulse. Regardless of the little things in Chris Kyle's life, like the Jesse Ventura fiasco, he was the most lethal sniper in U.S. military history. No talking heads are going to change that.
