Is there any way to get rid of some of those dang annoying updates that I get as a Windows user? They take up like 25 megabytes on my strapped for space computer. Or is resistance futile?

The best overall solution to solving the problem of Windows updates is to get a Mac.

Don't update your PC.... if your PC is automatically downloading the updates, turn off Windows Auto Update program. This way, you can download the smaller security updates which occasionally come along by yourself.
