What The Heck happened to writing on paper to get a job?

I can - in fact, I'm in debt at the moment - Picked up my scanner for $10 at the local Salvation Army, and the most I had to do was download a compatible driver, onto my really old XP box.

And yep, I also still scan the resume and send it; sometimes better to write these things out in person and send a user the PDF form of my handwritten resume.
