Badnarik on the Ohio recount

WASHINGTON -- The decision by 2004 Libertarian presidential candidate
Michael Badnarik to play a leading role in the Ohio presidential recount
is causing a bubbling controversy within the Libertarian Party itself as
many members ask why Badnarik embarked on a venture that will cost
taxpayers money without changing the outcome of the election.

I have to along with the party on this one, Badnarik is wrong.

If it was a close race then I would understand but we dont have a dog in this fight. Even if it was wrong it wouldnt change anything. this just makes us look foolish IMO. I am glad the party is calling him out on this and that we are not wasting party funds on this

The way I see it, you can change the system (in the way the Libertarians want) a couple different ways.

1) Try to change it through democracy

2) Try to bog down the system (which is obviously strained as it is) even more to speed the grinding halt (if not a straight fall). Help pick up the pieces.

and

3) Wait for some outside force to cause us to fail, then again pick up the pieces.

Badnarik does what he has to do. Makes no difference to me, but the test is in the result, and that has not been reached yet.
