After learning about Norse today, I have been sitting here staring at it and there are a MASSIVE (approximately 9 out of 10) number of cyberattacks pointed at St Louis. Why? I've poked about and I can't find any possible reason other than Norse is located there.

Is this a usual occurance? I'm guessing not but I could be wrong.

As far as i know they are dummy targets set up to catch the attackers/hackers.
There was a thread not so long ago, around the time of the big DDOS attacks, asking the same question

It's a secret, but NORSE is located in the suburbs of St Louis - you're seeing the packets that they're intercepting.

Thank you. I'm new.

If they're dummy targets it would seem they're pretty effective! It makes the map less visually interesting though. Heh.
