This always puts a little pep in my step but chances are it will merely induce a headache for 10 out of 10 people that listen to it.

Hmm, it's got a touch of this about it. Sorry, I'm overgothing again! And a bit of Paradise Lost. I'm like Darkblade, just can't get out of the 80's.

That's one thing I love about metal. The sub-genres. I mean, how many music genres have so many sub-genres?

"They're symphonic black death!"

"No! They're Norwegian melodic black metal!"

"WE MUST KUNG FU FIGHT!"

Maybe I'm just 'that' dip#, but I feel like somewhat overly descriptive subgenre titles can be useful when describing a band that uses a more complex blend of sounds and styles. That being said, it can get a bit ridiculous...

And here's some symphonic black metal with deathy bits

Hah! @ "Overgothing"

Unfortunately I didn't even exist until the tail end of the 80's so I missed out, apparently!

I was created in 1986 so I make up for unborn time by listening to a lot of 80's metal nowadays. If 2004 me met 2015 me he would kick his ass.

"You listen to Judas Priest!? What a douche."

Spirit of '87. I'm just lucky to have parents that didn't listen to s##t music. I went through a "brutal or nothing" phase but I'm over it. Metal is metal and I love it all.

I got your spirit right here, guy!

Oh yeah? I got saddled with a dad that rocked the Monkees and a mother that had a frankly terrifying obsession with Bruce Springsteen.

So you grew up in a "teenage wasteland"? How did that effect your "glory days"? Excuse me, I'm an idiot.

Hahaha! Hahahahaha!
