Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi announced in a closed-door meeting Tuesday she would name the first Muslim lawmaker to the House’s Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence.

A senior Democratic aide said Rep. André Carson of Indiana would be named in the “coming days” to the key national security-focused panel. Pelosi (D-Calif.) told lawmakers of the appointment during the members’ weekly caucus meeting.

Pelosi Akbar !

So let me get this straight.

Pelosi names Carson who says stuff like this:

www.youtube.com...

And they both demonized people like this:

www.youtube.com...

I think the House Intelligence Committee can drop the 'intelligence' part.

I wonder how he reconciles his faith with it's racist history while demagoguing the Tea Party.

I report you decide.

I wonder how much of your outrage has to do with the fact that he is a Muslim.

My outrage is because of the guys politics.

Nice try.

And as guaranteed by the first amendment, and the fact I live in Indiana.

I will voice my opinion of him.

Congratulations.

As I see you have done. So besides those two gaffs he said, what specifically do you not like about his politics? You seemed to have failed to mention that in your OP.

Be careful. You don't want to go down the path of demagoguery.

Did you even bother to watch the first video? The word means school and as the man explained it could be any religious based school Christian, Jewish or Muslim. Of course the FOX tool tried to put the terrorist spin on it but the guy quietly made it look like she didn't know what she was talking about.

So much for that separation of church, and state LEFTISTS purport themselves as believing in.

And no madrassas, and Qu'ran doesn't mean Chrstian or Jewish.

I'd like to point out that Carson is being appointed to the intelligence committee NOT an education committee. So his views on education appear to be a bit irrelevant here.

Like I've said before, Libs only are for religious tolerance as long as the religion isn't Christianity.

Intentionally trolling?

Watch either video?

Because that was self evident in the second video.

I watched both videos and can say that I dislike and distrust the Tea Party and happen to think that putting a man with knowledge of Islam on the Intelligence Committee at a time when Islam is the #1 fear of seemingly every American aliveis probably a fairly smart decision.

Yeah a republican/christian said something like that they would be singing a different tune.

In the Arabic language, the word madrasah simply means the same as school does in the English language, whether that is private, public or parochial school, as well as for any primary or secondary school whether Muslim, non-Muslim, or secular. Unlike the use of the word school in British English, the word madrasah more closely resembles the term school in American English, in that it can refer to a university-level or post-graduate school as well as to a primary or secondary school.

Madrasa

Let's see. The first video is him commenting on his views on education and the second video is him saying that the racists in the Tea Party need to be strung up like black people used to be strung up back in the day. The first video at least highlights a bit of his politics, but those politics happen to be irrelevant to the position he is being appointed to in Congress. So here, let me rephrase the question. Which of Carson's politics do you feel are unsavory and make you think he shouldn't be appointed to this position?

Right now all I can come up with are:
a) He's a muslim
b) He's a democrat
c) He says stupid things sometimes.

You swear up and down it isn't A, I'm pretty sure B has a lot to do with it, and C every politician says stupid things. So you need to flesh out your opinion a bit more there.
