Charge him with assault and send him to prison where he belongs .

I was wondering when this would get posted here. Saw this a few days ago before it made the front page. "I went, BAM!. I crumpled him. I just crumpled the kid." I know it's not supposed to be funny, but I lose it everytime I hear that line. I guess it's okay to punch kids in the name of the lord.

Sad. This man full of his own human ego decides to physically assault a child. This man is such a hypocrite says this Christian.

This guy needs to be in prison. I hope his position is stripped away from him and he's not allowed around any more children. What an ass. I cant believe nobody from the congregation spoke up at his confession of bashing a young man for being smarter than him.

I agree with you. Physically attacking someone is wrong. I don't think anything about this situation is humorous. My heart goes out to the child who was abused. I do not in any way condone the Pastor's behavior.

I agree with you on this..

Maybe jail will help this man's repentance along.

I wonder what he does to his own kids when they question their faith?

"Don't push my buttons or daddys gonna hit ya!"

The beauty is that the kids will grow up and daddy dearest will be older and less strong than them..... the rest of the story will be on Dateline or 20/20...titled - Who killed Daddy Dearest?

Pastor Punches Kid in the Chest

I guess the Christian way of asking "what would Jesus do" has been basically lost by most fundamental holier than thou so called Christians.

I suppose the method of "beating the devil" out of transgressors is still the preferred method by the faithful, apparently.

LOL pretty absurd. I like this form of evangelism. Sounds fun.

Hey stop blaming Jesus or Christianity for this. This pastor is a nutjob if he did this. He needs to face charges.

"Withhold not correction from a child: for if thou strike him with the rod, he shall not die. Thou shalt beat him with the rod, and deliver his soul from hell" (Proverbs 23:13-14).

People always talk # about the Koran, but the Bible full on tells you to beat children.

Umm, that's about spanking, not assault and battery. ^^^^^

I believe Proverbs 23:14 is crystal clear.

"Thou shalt beat him with the rod, and deliver his soul from hell"

You can keep your holy book.

Yeah, we get that. It means "take the paddle and spank the kid's ass." Not a shocker!! I was paddled at home and in school growing up, I'm completely fine.

Constantine did the same with pagans. "Convert to Christianity or die by the sword". He ended up killing a lot of people because they refused to convert.

I guess he's following in the footsteps of those who brought the bible to him. I guess that's a good thing?

There's no better reason to keep doing something stupid than tradition!

In no reality does Proverbs 23:14 mention spanking a child's ass.

Stop promoting details that do not exist.

I could use the same failed logic right back at you.

In no reality does that verse mention beating a child with a rod on his legs/back/head/face et cetra.
