President Obama was missing in action today when world leaders linked arms to lead an anti-terrorism march of more than a million people in Paris.

Neither President Obama or Vice President Joe Biden attended the historic event, though both of their schedules were open

Sacre Bleu !

Things that make you go hmmm,

Lot's of world leaders hell even Netanyahu, and Abbas showed up to Paris today.

Hell Holder was in Paris, but didn't seem to bother to show up.

Dunno what our 'fearless' leader was doing today.

Prolly playing golf or watching ESPN is my guess.

News reports put today's rally in the millions. They say even larger than when Paris was liberated from the nazi's during WW2.

I want to take this as a good sign that even mortal enemies Israel, and Palestine could come together.

Meanwhile American 'leadership' is missing in action as usual.

Yo Americans ?

Look to the French on how to protest the right way.

Pretty poor form for the leader of the free world ,it was only a couple of days ago he was praising them as America's oldest ally.
Guess that don't mean much.

Considering Palestine's Mahmoud Abbas & Jordan's King Abdullah II could bother to make it Mr.Obama definitely should have been there.

No excuse, not even an all important tee off!!!

Typical presidential behavior, I'm not surprised. Let me guess, a few days later Paris receives a fruit basket from him?

So goes the latest RW meme. "If he's not there, he doesn't care..." If he had gone, it would have been "how dare he politically capitalize on a tragic event..." with Fox bemoaning every penny spent on the security detail.

As someone who doesn't subscribe to the madness of either party, I don't think it would've happened that way. Just tacky not to show up. The world's about to boil over and even if America's crumbling it's still held up to a high standard, makes sense a leader would be there to offer compassion. Has nothing to do with his party, has everything to do with decency.

Good point I don't think he can win either way.
But he should have been there.

You can't see how this loudly this speaks?
Seriously? You want to make it a left/right issue.

....lol, it's bigger than that

Agreed, though I think it is much more than "tacky".
"He", or those "in control" (desire no argument as to who that might be, atm) sent a message.

Volumes were spoken, whether this or that press organization may have lambasted him. Surely this would be seen as a worse outcome (knowing the press will hammer him for not showing....

Yep it is bigger than that.

Terrorists hate LEFT/RIGHT equally.

Anyone still doubt he may harbor sympathy for radical Islamists?

it would have been "how dare he politically capitalize on a tragic event..."

With an event like this and the attendance of other world leaders he should of gone as a show of solidarity , France is a player in this so called war on terror led by the US and what happened in Paris is part of that war.

It's easy to blurt out statement like "oldest ally" but when it comes to putting your arse on a plane and standing out in the cold for a few hours that's another thing.

Nah, he'll send them a selection of the best wines American can offer. You know because it's not like they have any there in France.

Funny, terrorists denouncing terrorists. The difference is a suit and tie.

I wish they were met with Ferguson protestors for some reason. Not really, but wouldn't that be a riot!

I mean fear of fox news criticizing him hasn't stopped him before.

Unless there was a security risk I don't see a good reason to not be there.
He does take a lot of flak for possibly being a muslim so that would be to far off I guess.
