Comet lovejoy is visible in the northern hemisphere right now. Naked eye visibility outside of light polluted areas.

Is it? I thought it was long gone. I'll check it out.
When hale bop went by there was no mistaking it. It was hugh and very bright for weeks. Twice in that year it was over head . When it was inbound and when it was outbound. a reply to: lightmeup04

There are no comets visible from earth at the moment.

There is a greenish comet on its way to intersect with Orians belt on the 15 inst.,just about visible with the naked eye, but a pair of binoculars does wonders.

Thank you. Of course it's super cloudy . When ever I want to seethe night sky it seems to be raining. We just had a full moon so it's probably still too bright. I was looking at Orion just two nights ago. I didn't notice anything. But probably because it was too bright from the moon. I'll look again for sure. I have a telescope and binoculars so something should be seen.
