Hey neformore,

You want to address my last post? Here are a couple more JB weld specials for ya! The media does not report on Machine Gun crime and its just lumped together with all gun crime.

Read this post and reply. I am really curios how you wrap your mind around the reality of things.

Stop trolling, your OP was bad even for a satire.

If this type of post thinks it stimulates thinking maybe only you needs baby toys for mental stimulation.

Would you say that you were offended?

I do understand that humour can bypass some people...
That's a given...

My only point is that after being explained that it was tongue-in-cheek reversal and in no way a demand for an apology...

People still took it as some sort of attack on them personally just because they're pro-Gun...

I'm very pro-Gun, so much so I wish we had the same Laws in the UK...

But having understood the initial context & being one of many who knew & explained that it wasn't an affront to Gun owners, to see this spiral downhill was disheartening to be honest.

Understood. However, the nature of satire is a personal attack on someone or some group. Since it's goal is to shame the target, how is that not a personal attack. Those posting or involved in making satirical remarks should know that going in, and expect folks to take it personally. If they do not, then they are either in denial, ignorant, or outright trolling to get a negative response. Not too similar to the Charlie mag posting caricatures of the Prophet. They knew they were insulting a fraction of their audience...that was their goal. However, freedom to do so is protected in many countries on this planet. If a person does not like having (or others having) that freedom, then why stay there other than an attempt to convert the masses into their non-free speech manner of thinking.

So, you should not be surprised of the downward spiral...neither should the OP. That, to me, seemed the real goal all along.

Don't have one, of course I don't have a TV either.

No better or worse than Christians in my opinion.

The reality is that we didn't have a huge radical Islam problem before we took it upon ourselves to redesign the middle east. You can directly blame a million dead Iraqis and the 200,000+ dead in Syria et al for the fact that we now have more terrorists in the world than ever before.

Cause and effect friend! Didn't Bush say he was on a mission from God? So, basically a couple million people were put in the ground in the name of Jesus in just the last decade or so. That's not to mention that Christianity has the bloodiest history of any religion.

That said todays Christians are not responsible for the millions killed any more than the majority of Muslims are responsible for the actions of a few.

I think its very likely that we have many signing up for military service to fight against Islam. Likely many more than have signed up for the fight on the other side of the isle. All the propaganda and call to arms etc.. does not bloody all Muslims and Christians. At the end of the day its just a few bad actors pulling strings.

Bashing Jesus and talking about how religion is coming to an end is like poking a hornets nest. Its makes moral God fearing people feel like they need to vote for anything portrait as the moral right, sign up for military service etc...

The same if true for Muslims. When Islam is openly threatened it calls many to action.

The truth is they are brothers who worship the same God etc.. Islam is not bloodied here and neither is Christianity! The actions of a very small number of people are likely responsible for everything. It would be nice to oust these Mf'ers and end this BS in its tracks!

Okay. Then I'm thinking maybe this isn't the thread you think it is. Because this thread is about people who unfairly expect peaceful Muslims to apologize for what the extremists/terrorists do. Or, people who say that any peaceful Muslim who doesn't shout against extremism on the rooftops for all to hear are probably secretly in favor of what the extremists are doing. It is using satire to imply the idiocracy of expecting law-abiding gun owners to be responsible for the crazies who use guns to kill innocent people is a parallel to the idiocracy of expecting peaceful Muslims to be responsible for the crazies who use Islam to kill innocent people.

Listen.... If people want to criticise anything I write, that's fine with me.

Responding with humour is just a way of breaking the tension.

If folks don't like that, it's their problem.

I have been listening to you, hence my responses.

Yeah ?

Funny how someone replaces gun owner with rich, or corporation.

People sing a different tune.

So how do I feel about of right wing NEOCONS clinging to their guns, and religion all over the globe ?

Hmmm.

I don't look to highly on them.

Just like they don't look too highly on me.

Just like the LEFT in this country doesn't like me, but seems to make EVERY GD EXCUSE possible for ISLAMIC NAZIS.

i have read the disclaimer, but... do tell us, what is your real stance about people's right to own and bear arms?

Because, if i remember correctly I am pretty sure you are in favor of gun control from what i remember you saying in threads having to do with gun control. or am i wrong? If i am wrong, then apologies. If I am right, is this then really a satirical thread not meant to deride those of us who believe in the right of people to choose whether to own and bear arms?

Let me use another example, such as "Socialists, communists, anarchists have you apologized and taken to the streets protesting for the murder of about 160 million people if not more, and millions more imprisoned under socialist, communist dictatorships, and anarchism in the 20th and 21st century?

Have you apologized to the people of India, the majority who are extremely poor yet live under a true socialist regime?

Have you apologized to the people of Cuba, a majority who want to get out of that hellhole of a communist regime, yet a majority of socialists and communists outside of Cuba claim "things aren't that bad in Cuba and in fact they are great"?

Have you apologized for those socialists, communists and anarchists who deride and even partake in demeaning and insulting people who have actually experienced true socialism, communism and anarchism and have tried to tell you, and the world their experiences?"

i could go on, but I am sure you get the gist.

See, i see a double standard in this thread, unless i am wrong. Meanwhile you say it is a satirical piece, as far as i remember i have seen you respond in other threads in favor for gun control, so it isn't really entirely a satirical thread. Or am i wrong?

BTW, as a side note, I don't believe that all Muslims should be derided for what radicals do, and i have stated in the past that even Muslim moderates have been murdered by Muslim radicals.
